Who else is excited to see McCain get crushed in November?

There is a much greater chance to restore the GOP in the future (read:2012) if McCain is completely annihilated this November.

Define Marxist please.

Of, relating to, or (as a noun) a follower of a long dead German who thought everyone else should work their asses off so he can play needy and grow a nice, fat gut while he thought of another trick to get out of work.

Probably not close enough to suit you, but I like it!

Short-term problem? Obama is a Marxist. He's not going to change anything, he's just going to increase the speed of our downfall. Or, is that what you mean by a "short-term problem", because the downfall of our country will be swift.

obama isn't a marxist

he isn't even a democratic socialist like say dennis kucinich or bernie sanders

As opposed to McCain who will drive everyone that George Bush missed away from the GOP allowing 12 or more years of Obama-esque Democrats?

If McCain sinks the ship, American idiots will turn out en-masse to vote for the other guys in 2012.

I hate Obama, I hate McCain.

But McCain is FAR more dangerous because he claims to be one of us.

McCain's failure will be perceived as Capitalism's failure.

Obama's failure will be perceived as Socialism's failure.

They will both fail, it's just a question of which economic theory benefits from the other's downfall.

Heads you lose - Tails you dont win

And I suspect McCain will lose huge, that is if he lasts 3 months to the election.

Eat a double cheeseburger McCain, I fricking dare you.

I can't tolerate McCain. It makes me absolutely irritated when he repeatedly says we need to "compromise" and be "bipartisan" with Nanci Pelosi, Ted Kennedy, Harry Reid etc.

I don't have an explanation how he could have lived in a cage for five years and returned to our homeland to be such a neocon, immature, arrogant, NWO sellout.

He seems to want to be president solely for the prestige. He'd say or do anything. His lack of values disgusts me. Plus, he looks like he is going to die in a few years.

I ask myself - in a situation of chaos, who would do the least harm.

I have been very displeased with what the Republican's did after 2001 and I fear I will be even more displeased with what the Democrats do with power in a time of turmoil. Personally, I think the parties are alike more than they differ, but those subtle differences really come out during crisis times.

My two biggest concerns with Obama are that I have no *real* clue as to who he is and what he stands for (the hints I see coming out are not comforting) and, if he wins big, he will come into office with millions of zealous fans hanging on his every word and willing to prostrate themselves before him as if he were the second coming (of Bill Clinton...) and that is a very dangerous situation. All I can hope for is that this is a very close election giving some real teeth to the opposition in Congress.

The cynic in me says the system is rigged and it matters little who wins this election except that the wheels of the machine will roll much easier over the prostrated followers of Obama than over the masses of disillusioned youth outraged at his defeat in a close election. Perhaps the best thing that can happen is for the election to be close and questionable - like 2000 - with a McCain victory. Though I wonder to what measures would he go to shift focus from a corrupt system to some great event that demands national unity...

The way I see it, the country is going to be destroyed either way. A whole bunch of us joined the GOP to take the party back to it's Taft-Goldwater roots. If the nation is destroyed under a Democratic regime, then the Dems will get the blame. If the nation is destroyed under a Republican regime, then the Reps will get the blame. It is better, then, for those of us who have committed to the 4, 8, and 12 year GOP plan, that the nation collapses under Obama than under McCain.

Now, that said, an Obama Presidency would mean some very scary things for gun owners and the US Supreme Court. Nevertheless, in 4-8 years when it comes time to rebuild the Republic from the rubble of collapse, it will go far far better for the folken of the Ron Paul platform should the Republican brand not be saddled with the collapse of American civilization.
