White Supremacists And Hippies: Ron Paul's Supporters Liability In GOP Establishment

White supremacists. . . they are probably only endorsing Ron Paul for two reasons: He's white and he's protestant.

This needs to be in "Bad Media reporting" at best or "hot topics" at worst. Huffingtonpost.com must have finally got the "attack Ron Paul at all costs" memo. The original title of the article that they linked to is:

Could Ron Paul be South Carolina's perfect candidate? The Republican's Republican

The article is really about how Ron Paul appeals to everybody, as opposed to RP supporters being a "liability".

Same old story. They can't attack RP, so they attack his supporters. It only bolsters my belief that RP is the most consistent, well-reasoned candidate.

There is nothing about Ron Paul that makes him appeal to these types of people, other then the fact he is a white protestant.

WS are still americans........and have that right.

David duke supported GWB.

Shrug.

lol, this is getting retarded ...

Q: Why do white supremecists support Ron Paul?

A: Same reason minorities support Ron Paul: he's the best choice for America.

And the fact that he doesn't want to imprison people for their beliefs. That a plus.

Anyone else notice that there appears to be a regular cycle of the attack RP articles. It's like a public school lunch menu.

Mon: Supremacist Stew served with White Bread

Tues: Isolationist Surprise

Wed: Sloppy Webots

Thurs: Conspiracy Puff Piece served in Minature Tinfoil Hats

Fri: No Choice w/h Hand Maid Tater Tots

Repeat

(They'd offer Tacos, but Ron Paul wants to close the borders so no one will be able to make them)

You crack me up!! :D

I think it is amazingly powerful that Ron Paul has both hippies and soldiers on his side. How historic.

Are any voters a liability in an election? Apparently Ron Paul supporters don't count in real polls, so who can credibly identify them all? Also, unless you've committed a felony in this country, you are a citizen and can vote.

Ron Paul advocates civil liberties for individuals, but he never aligned himself with any hate groups.

I've heard the ADL wants to make an issue of "white supremacist" ties. Too bad they didn't make such an issue of the Armenian genocide and worthier topics.

I thought the article was fair. I didn't notice any bias against him as in other articles.

Same here... if you read the full article it really isn't biased at all, as Joe Friday used to say... "Just the facts"... which real are what's presented in they full article even noting that
Polls show Paul pulling ahead of Thompson and Mike Huckabee in New Hampshire, and he recently raised $4.2 million in a single day. Despite that, the media still hesitates to give him credit. Last Tuesday, local CBS affiliate WCSC (Live 5) gave more time during the evening news to appearances by Hillary Clinton in Spartanburg and John McCain in Seneca than to Paul here in Charleston, calling him a "dark horse." After the YouTube debate last Wednesday, CNN commentators gave McCain points for mentioning that he spent Thanksgiving with the troops, but seemingly ignored Paul's comment that he's received more funds from active duty military officers than any other candidate. Even Salon.com teased Paul's "conspiracy theories" in their headline for debate coverage, although appeared he presented none.

In between the joking and the laughter, I hope you can see what is going on here. RP supporters are being put into a box that will be shown to be dangerous to democracy and dangerous to America. It's coming from multiple media sources now, but especially "left" media like Dem Now & Huffington. Patriots, hate groups, RP supporters, etc. are being lumped together. If the appearance of home grown violence ever raises its ugly head domesticaly (let's hope it never does), then who do you think will be blamed?

The article was fair. It's the fact that Huffingtonpost changed the title from "Could Ron Paul be South Carolina's perfect candidate? The Republican's Republican" to "White supremacists and hippies: Ron Paul's supporters liability in GOP" that's the problem. Remember that a lot of people don't fully read articles and just pay attention to headlines.

Slander

Freedom is surely popular with all types but saying Ron Paul has ties to WS is slanderous. Maybe we should file suit after the election? I expect a lot more attacks but this is such an undiluted and obvious lie. Ron Paul is more honorable than all the rest combined. We're shaking the foundations of corrupt media and government.
