Once they start deferring rents and evictions, how are they going to put that cat back in the bag?
Where are the principled politicians, unconcerned with reelection, who are going to make broke voters pay a year's back rent or face eviction?
This ends with either the feds paying the back rent (with printed money) or the landlords being forced to eat it - probably the former.
The same with "deferred" payroll tax, "deferred" student loan payments, etc.

Once the other party that identifies as Dems takes charge, they won't be putting cat back in the bag but instead would be super-breeding lots of new kittens. This is a game changer of sorts, in the progressive socialism race.
On a side note, this also puts "Rent is too high" guy out of 2020 race.

I've had a suspicion for a while and have posted in the past about the run-up to this possibility but I think this particular emergency declaration has turned the federal government over to FEMA control, a la REX 84. Once these sorts of dictates start coming down, ignoring even the facade of separation of state and federal, it's something different this time. Wondering if all of those executive orders granting control of practically everything to FEMA that have been written about for many years is now in effect, off the official record.

I see a picture of an old statesman handing another old statesman a trinket of some sort in some sort of diplomatic nicety that happens between statemsn during diplomatic meetings, regardless of the state of affairs between their countries or religions.
