Which one issue matters most to you when judging someone to be a Liberty candidate?

Immigration isn't really a social issue. Though a lot of social conservatives are good on the issue and a smaller number electable liberal Republicans are good on the issue.

For me its foreign policy.

If they are sick of the foreign empire, the war-fare state, sick of the debt needed to support the global bases, want to bring the troops home, want to end foreign welfare then thats usually a good indication of where they stand on domestic issues.

This is a tough one. Foreign policy is initially what lead me to politics and why I loved Ron Paul back in 2007.

However, these days I think what is more pressing than anything else is our civil liberties and seems to be a bigger issue more so than it ever has been in this country. Issues we are running into as a result of the insanely invasive privacy violations our government is perpetrating feels more personal than anything else I can remember.

I think at the moment I've gotta go with civil liberties, but sticking to the NAP now and always in the future will prove to be the most important characteristic governing my interests and importance in politics.

They are interconnected.

I can not choose one,, but my personal issue is the 2nd Amendment.

If a candidate has a good understanding of this,, it will reflect elsewhere.

All the people armed,, without restriction.

If they favor control here, they will favor control elsewhere.

For me, economic and foreign policy one and the same because for one to have a good economic policy, he/she would need to less interventionist on foreign policy, must be in favor of less sanction of nations and more pro open and free trades with all nations. For this reason, I picked economic policy.

I'm on the Executive committee for my county GOP, and I get all of these politicians seeking my endorsement. When I interview them what I commonly find is they are good on economics and civil liberties, but suck on foreign policy. Then they get a no vote.
