I think Schiff would be better off running for Congress. I think he could much more easily win a seat in the House. He seems much more interested in a Senate run, though. What do you think?

EDIT: Sorry I put Congressman. I should've put Representative to make it a little more clear.

I want to have some libertarians with real power enacting change. Reps have power, but its the senate where real power is.

Except it wouldn't be the same thing. Peter now has much better name recognition in Connecticut particularly amongst RTC members and primary voters, the economic situation in 2012 could be worse, and the field of opponents will likely be easier to overcome.

Way to be negative.

I guess that means RP should not run for President?

Schiff should go for the Senate. He's uniquely qualified to jump right into that job.

Of course, ideally he would be able to run for President, but doubt he could win. But who knows, he's nearly as good as Ron Paul with a lot better camera skills.

He doesn't have as much of a "likable" personality as Ron Paul and I think Ron should give it one more chance in 2012. Peter, Rand, or someone else can run for President in 2016. Running in the 2012 race is premature.

Yep- although I do think Peter is very likable. Maybe that's cause I'm one of his superfans:D. I guess if he ran he would need to adjust his presentation.
