Which insurance policy, uh - "running mate" will Trump choose?

I think it will be Carson. There is really no point of Carson remaining in the race other than to help Trump to stop his votes from going to Cruz.

I agree with you. It will be a true bloodbath, as he constantly calls for her arrest. Carson not a bad choice for a running mate. Rand would have been a good choice, had he not attacked Trump at the first debate. Kasich possibly, to win Ohio and make Trump a little more palatable to the establishment.

Trump is very forgiving, I'm thinking Rand, that way the establishment doesn't try to assassinate Trump for fear of what a President Paul would do.

Again, I don't see Trump leaning toward anyone. He's used to flying solo, and I think his pick will be something of a surprise. No doubt he is thinking about it, but I think he will wait until closer to the convention to put a name out there.

The party has been recently trending toward putting a unknown on the ticket (someone who was not a primary challenger or otherwise has a national profile), and publicize it the week of the convention. In 2012 they had to do it earlier, because Mitt was failing so hard in the polls. The reason they do this is to cut down on the time the democrats have to do opposition research while at the same time, igniting the local support base (preferably in a key swing state).

Going out on a limb here: Mark Cuban. While he disagrees with Republicans on social issues, he advocates for limited government.

Can Trump put himself as his own running mate? I can think of noone better to be his VP.

Maybe Rand.

MITT "MiTTENs" ROMNEY is POTUS MATERIAL. HE IS A GOOD DEBATER. HE'd BE A GOOD VEEP.

I don't you don't mean anything bad by it, but I really don't think insinuating that someone is going to assassinate Trump is very classy. We are above that. I don't mean to get on my high horse, keep on keeping on...just think about our image.

Point taken.

But just as an FYI, did you ever notice that Trump never buttons up his jacket? That's because he is ALWAYS wearing a bullet proof vest, according to his former senior advisor Roger Stone:

So for what it's worth, there clearly is a valid concern for his safety.

I said :

The scenario that I envision would entail Trump beating Hillary in an unprecedented landslide. There's just too much that Trump can hit her on... It would be absolute carnage.

Imagine Trump and Hillary standing on the debate stage:

Trump: "When I'm elected president, I will ensure that you are criminally prosecuted for XYZ (insert whatever crime/scandal here)!"

Already getting the popcorn ready.

Don't know why it's inconceivable to some, it's a very effective attack that I think is a no-brainer for a guy like Trump...

Are you high? The Clintons went to the Trumps wedding. They are personal friends. Nobody is getting prosecuted for anything. This is all theater.

I don't know if he's' willing to do that. I would love it, but I doubt it.

He's going to have to beat her straight up. She is very much his equal, in that attacks on her only energize her support base.

Seems Trump agrees with me... Maybe Trump reads this forum!

Eh Hem...
