General Which candidate would do the most harm to America in a crisis situation?

I say Newt. He's a megalomaniacal control freak who considers FDR to be the best president, he favors Alvin Toffler who wants to euthanize the Constitution, he wants drug users to be executed, he's a warmonger, and his personal life makes it clear he views people as disposable beings. If a crisis such as hyperinflation or a new 911 occurred, he and his "commanding" rhetoric would scare Americans into doing whatever he wanted. He would attempt to conquer the world if he thought it was possible.

The reason I included Ron Paul in this poll is b/c of the possibility that the crisis could cause the whole world to forever discredit libertarianism even though it would have happened through no fault of his own. Terrorist attack? "See! I knew libertarians don't care enough about national defense and don't take the threat of terrorism seriously!". Hyperinflation? "See! You can't 'leave it to the free market' and expect things not to implode!".

I voted newt. His view of the government spying on all of us to "keep us safe", coupled with a crisis to give him a launching pad to really dig in with his new security measures, makes me have nightmares.

That's a tough one...I'd say Obama or Gingrich. Maybe a slight edge to Obama because his supporters still support him in spite of him being exactly like George W. Bush.

I was stuck between Santorum and Gingrich at first, but when considering who would be more likely to preemptively turn much of the Middle East into a sea of glass (Newt) versus who would overreact should a terror plot succeed and do the same thing (Rick), I gave the edge to Newt, but either one of them would be absolutely horrible.

Ron Paul's foreign policy is the reason he is losing. He needs to get more detailed in his approach to Foreign policy.
1. Point out the lack of security of our borders.
A. Millions of illegal immigrants
B. Millions of containers coming in without being checked
C. Fences along our borders
D. Search teams looking for planted suitcase nukes in the states here (Don't we have the technology to go through buildings and stadiums and detect radioactive materials?)
E. Have the subways and buggest buildings in America been scanned for planted nukes?
F. Develop better technology to detect the movement or location of radioactive materials.

Ron Paul needs to show how Israel would benifit from no longer receiving foreign aid.
Don't change the message, just polish it, be clear.

Develop and share missle defense with Russia? If Russia has the same missile defense system that we have, then they won't feel threatened.
Probably the missing nukes from Russia are already planted in the states.
Ron Paul needs to focus on how he will protect us here.

Probably Santorum, his foreign policy will completely bankrupt the country and make even more enemies. But Obama is a second close, his economic policies are so counterproductive.

Santorum would be much worse than Newt. Newt is manipulative and diabolical as fuck, but at least he's smart and could play the game of foreign policy wisely, even if his policies are atrocious.

Santorum on the other hand probably ACTUALLY believes that the Christians need to retake the holy land and destroy the evil Muslims in Iran and the rest of the middle-east and wouldn't hesitate to drop bombs on Iran. He's much more likely to act rashly and irresponsibly than Gingrich I think, out of a feeling of religious duty.

Agree with all, except the fences along our borders. I live in Texas and that is not going to work. I think he should get all of our National Guard out of the middle east and have them patrol the border. Border Patrol is way under staffed and make much more money than a Guardsman.
