Which candidate matches your beliefs? (Yahoo Quiz)

Your top candidate match is Ron Paul!
Michele Bachmann and Jon Huntsman were runner-ups.

:D Too easy!

I got Romney. Guess this is goodbye. Nice knowing you guys.

Just kidding:
1. Paul
2. Huntsman
3. Bachman??

But a lot of the questions were about stuff I didn't care about, and sometimes I wished for an "Other" answer.

Paul

Perry

Bachmann

I really wouldn't mind Perry if he wasn't a Bilderberger and so damn discriminating.

1. Paul
2. Perry
3. Bachman

Yuck....can't stand Bachman, surprised I picked up anything about her. I kinda like Perry in an "adopt a puppy" campaign sort of way..lol. He's just so ignorant, I can't help but feel sorry for him.

Yes i saw those little icons... Dr. Pauls icon said End the Fed and end this quiz.

Plus, they said my #1 choice was RP,

obviously, but they misused Newt Gingrichs caricature as Ron Pauls... Subliminal advertising eh

Did anyone else notice this?

I figured that's what I'd guess as I read the questions. Seems like a common result here.

This poll doesn't take into account importance of issues. Since foreign policy is a major thing to me, Huntsman really is my second pick instead of Bachman.

Paul, Bachmann, Perry. The other problem with the quiz is that it is tied too closely to candidate statements and not principles. It is presented via a MSM-prism which is why "How can the US create more jobs?" gives you a bunch of options, most of which are good (a couple that could be depending on the specifics):

How can the US create more jobs?

Repeal the Affordable Care Act or 'Obamacare' (Paul?)
Eliminate capital gains tax, end the estate tax and reduce corporate income tax
Repeal the financial services reforms (Paul?)
Eliminate the EPA and create new jobs in energy development
Make more trade deals (hmmm...)
Invest in infrastructure (hmmm...)

Some questions had clear answers:

What is the best way to reform the tax code?

Offer a choice: a 20% flat tax or the current tax structure
Eliminate income tax and the IRS altogether
No one, even the poorest, should be exempt from taxes
Cut tax breaks for millionaires and billionaires so they pay more than they do now
Eliminate the estate tax, reduce corporate tax rate, and make Bush-era tax cuts permanent
Impose graduated tax rates at 8, 14 and 23 percent
Lower corporate income tax to 12%, eliminate capital gains tax

Some confusing:

Is it time to bring American troops home from Afghanistan?

This is a decision only for the generals and commanders in the field to make
Bring them home now and cut the Pentagon budget significantly
No. We’ve got to stay the course and finish the job
Get troops out of Afghanistan quickly but not with a specific time line
Yes, but slowly; Have all of our troops out in the next few years

This - IMO - did not have a Ron Paul answer (end Federal entitlements/mandates - e.g., for free education, healthcare (aside from the paid-into Medicare) AND, end the f-ing war on drugs):

What can we do to strengthen security along the US-Mexico border?

We can’t build fence on the entire border, but we can put more boots on the ground (???)
Construct a complete double border fence by the end of 2013
Take away incentives for illegal border crossings by ending right to citizenship of US-born children of illegals (???)
Build fence along every mile of the US-Mexico border
Build fence along the entire border but welcome more immigrants who have degrees in math and science
We need to continue aggressive border enforcement through the use of existing resources

I really like this one although it is best if you had watched the debates:

What should be the US policy be toward Pakistan?

End all foreign aid to Pakistan (Paul)
End all foreign aid to Pakistan and then ask them to make the case for more (Perry)
Pakistan has a nuclear weapon, we can’t end all aid. We must engage them as allies (Bachmann?)
Continue aid to Pakistan, but pressure them to aggressively target terror networks (The others?)

Details mattered here:

Do you support the new health care reform law?

No. Repeal it - and limit malpractice lawsuits as a way to control costs
No. Repeal it – and allow states to choose their own plan
No. Repeal it - the government should not be involved in people’s healthcare
No. Repeal it – and raise the eligibility age for Medicare and turn over Medicaid to the states
Yes. The Affordable Care Act is already helping many Americans

I had to guess here:

How can we reduce American dependence on foreign oil?

More drilling in our country, including Alaska and the Gulf of Mexico
Raise fuel efficiency standards and develop more renewable energy sources
More drilling in US areas already approved for it
Eliminate the gas tax and provide tax credits for alternative fuel technology

Their progressive MSM roots show here. Real answer: the primary voters don't give a damn.

HOT TOPICS

HOT TOPICS: GLOBAL WARMING
Who is to blame for global warming - if it exists at all?

Human beings have caused carbon pollution, which is responsible for global warming
I trust the scientists about climate change and man’s contribution to it
There is no compelling evidence that global warming exists or that humans are to blame (my 2nd guess)
I believe global warming is a hoax, it’s not a threat because there’s no such thing
Humans contribute to global warming, but I’m not sure to what extent or how big a threat it really is (my 1st guess)

By the way, I tried to answer like Paul just in case this is a survey too (not that my answers would vary much).
