Where is Truckin' Mike?

Maybe you could offer some helpful insight... a group of us in NEPA have registered for the area's biggest veteran's day parade this Sunday, but the guy who said he could get us a truck has been MIA.

We'd love to get a truck with a flatbed, but have no idea how to go about hiring someone or if it'd even be possible on such short notice. (My fallback plan is to just rent a uhaul pickup and 12' utility trailer, but that'd be less than ideal. I'm trying to pack this thing with supporters and have a huge sign wave on wheels. Can't safely fit too many people on a 6x12 cart.) Any advice as to how to find a driver??

Canvas the local trucking companies via the yellow pages. You never know you may even find a RP supporter. Or if you get desperate - go to the nearest truck stop and offer a driver $200 for him to drive in the parade. That'll be the cheapest route if you can't find a supporter to do it for cost or free.

I'll most likely be in Texas or California by then.

I haven't seen any signs since San Diego. I am now fueling in Amarillo,TX. Headed for Oklahoma City. Not in good spirits, lacking hope, and seeing a dismal future for us all. Woe is me...

We really need to start getting out signs. Large signs in well traveled areas. 4x8 and bigger. I agree that I'm seeing fewer than 4 years ago. We need to re-energize.
