Where is the tea party and why can't we file and turn it into a real party?

The tea party was supposed to be anti establishment fed up with all these lying career politicians.

Ron Paul started or spawned the tea Party movement , Then why can't we make the Tea Party official

Produce a platform and elect officials

I nominate Tom Woods as head of the National Tea Party !

Tea Party is now the "Team America and Israel First" Party.

Herman Cain ate the Tea Party and transformed it into excrement.

Yea, along with the Alaskan Hussie (when she isn't busy chasing around young male athletes) and Newt World Order as well. If they had any f'ing dignity left they would just abolish it at this point, as it pretty much stands for none of it's original concepts and principles.

It doesn't matter what you call the movement, unless you can control the media, it will be co-opted and distorted against it's origins.

The tea party was only popular for opposing the debt ceiling increases. The second that other issues became "important", most of the tea party went back to being regular Republicans. So basically, it was a fad that got forgotten.

It was a method to redirect/diminish the true movement (in my opinion)

First post :)

During the Ron Paul Revolution movement that showed great momentum during the last presidential cycle (and in my opinion):
-The Tea Party was formed to grasp that momentum and redirect it; it was basically a hijacking
-All media attention would focus on this new redirected movement instead of the core of the true movement that came from the Ron Paul Revolution
-Once a movement is infiltrated and redirected it can rerouted, squashed, made to mockery, etc... (like the political parties or any other group one wants to change)

All this is in my opinion - and not very clearly laid out right now (I was about to go to sleep and I saw this thread and this brought those frustrations back to light...ugh).

After the great momentum of the Revolution, with its spark growing brighter and stronger, it always seemed to me that the Tea Party was a faux - a ruse - a fake - a redirect methodology. A while back I read a thread about finding a new name for the true movement that goes past using Ron Paul's name. I understand that...but at the same time leaving Ron Paul's name in it will (in my opinion) help keep it from being hijacked and rerouted.

Not a great first post lol...but it helps to vent sometimes. Hope I can sleep now :)

+rep! Welcome to the forum!

It’s to late. Americanism and freedom is a movement that must be instilled from birth, or injected after the TSHTF and people are shown the alternative.

The corruption of all the current political parties and movements are perfect examples of why starting a new party or movement is not a good idea.

One does not have to belong to a Political Party or a faction to support the Constitution and vote on a federal level.

All kids must be raised from birth, to be individuals and not depend politically on Parties or factions.

It is much, much easier to infiltrate and corrupt a political party or faction (or forum) than it is to infiltrate and corrupt the minds of millions of true individualist.

If you look at the Michigan exit poll, Ron Paul got twice as much support from those who OPPOSE the Tea Party than from those who consider themselves the Tea Party. So yea, the Tea Party is dead -- it is now part of the problem.

The tea party is pounding the drums for war with Iran. They are supporting the guy who called them a disgrace a couple years ago.

It got co-opted.

This right here.

When people such as Palin, Bachmann, Hannity, etc. started jumping on the bandwagon, it went to pot.

The Tea Party is another arm of the establishment Republicans, unfortunately. They successfully infiltrated it.

And RP is strongly associated with TEA because of the support structure's past, and the oppositions ability to keep the association alive, even as the movement was/is hijacked into something different than it's origins.

Zactly!!

The tea party is busy voting for all the other candidates. As pointed out, it was co-opted in about five minutes. The R party and its minions are masters at this game, and we are but amateurs. Dick Armey and all the other "leaders" of the Tea Party should burn in hell. How did a leaderless movement suddenly have about a dozen leaders who got rich and sucked up every web domain with tea party in it, and managed to push all those "freedom loving" tea partiers into the same old God Loves War and Big Government, but for a little less money, Republican stereotype?
