Where is Ron Paul Country and why did I get an attack page warning for the DP?

Gives me this message on firefox and the "ignore this warning" link doesn't work. Site is completely inaccessible.. But then tried it on Chrome and it took me right to the site though.

Seems fishy to me...

Might as well add this one too, although we haven't come close to target we are still short $120 for hosting to cover us for next month (as it stands now the server comes down on the 15th ironically), this is the same dedicated server that hosts NoOneButPaul.com, RonPaulCountry.com, InToWin2012.com and possibly another money bomb next month if we (grassroots) decides to do one in May:

He begged for funds to keep them alive. Now they are offline. Who do we have to blame but ourselves...?

I thought DP meant Democratic Party, but I see that you were insinuated something else with your fancy acronym.

Who to blame? Orenbus

I was working with DAS last year on this project. Orenbus shows up, tells DAS that Joomla sucks and Drupal is the way to go. Great. Webmasters shouldn't be begging for money. Somebody else who had the necessary money should've done it. Doesn't really matter in the end, there's http://ronpaulsocialnetwork.com which is still up. http://rp2012.org has community features. And we xxxx, so, you know, we don't really need too many Ron Paul websites at this point.

Don't you think that orenbus should've focused his efforts on websites that he didn't need to beg for money to keep online? Huh?

So, yeah, blame Orenbus for over extending himself.

The OP asked specifically about why RonPaulCountry.com is offline. We can't blame getting hacked, direct attack from a rival campaign, censorship, or any other such thing for that.

For what it's worth, I'd say it's a bit harsh to place ALL the blame on orenbus. He did have a rather unfortunate series of events recently that most likely lead to this...

Peer2Paul & DailyPaul & Ron Paul Country still blocked

It seems mighty suspicious to me that 3 separate websites are blocked by the malware virus. One I could believe. But all three?

This forum plus RonPaulFlix is the only thing I can access right now.

It does make sense that a virus could spread between the two.

But it is interesting to see what it would feel like to be "blocked"..... as in blocked by a supervising government as if we were in China.

With the internet censorship rules that they are trying to put in place, this is exactly the type of experience we can look forward to. Just a little taste of what's coming. Who says that they have to be honest about how they block a website?

About the Daily Paul

UPDATE: I've made contact with the ad service provider that is supplying the code that Google is flagging as malicious. They are aware of the problem and are working with Google to solve it. The Daily Paul is not the only site that is being subject to this treatment. Hopefully this will get sorted out soon.

As many regulars here have noted (here, here, here, here, and here), dialing into the Daily Paul on Chrome or Firefox results in a Google red screen that says the Daily Paul contains malware. No such warning appears when using Safari or IE. Further investigation shows that Google has classified the Daily Paul as 'suspicious', in spite of the fact that:

Of the 658 pages we tested on the site over the past 90 days, 0 page(s) resulted in malicious software being downloaded and installed without user consent. The last time Google visited this site was on 2012-05-31, and suspicious content was never found on this site within the past 90 days

Over the past 90 days, dailypaul.com did not appear to function as an intermediary for the infection of any sites. This site has not hosted malicious software over the past 90 days.

After much investigation, it appears that this is a false alarm. Google is listing some standard ad server code - which has been on the site for over a year - as suspicious. We may also be the subject of a dirty tricks attack, as the 'suspicious' page Google is flagging is this one: Why I am Endorsing Mitt Romney for President and Not Ron Paul.

Thank you everyone for your patience. We're working on getting this straightened out as soon as we can.

Michael
