If you have or can get your hands on a projector you can use large foam board sheets from Lowes/HD. A 9' x 4' sheet of foam is $11 and is pretty durable material. With it all you do is project the image you want to make onto the foam board then cut out the stencil. You will be left with a big sheet of foam that says "Ron Paul Revolution" on it and it can be used over and over and over.

Theoretically 50, 9' x 3' tyvek banners can be made (if all the using the same stencil) for $150 plus paint.

www.ronpaulrevolution.com has some vids on it.

Here is the how to video, and where you can get the font:

http://www.rescue-us.org/RPRinstruction.htm

Basically just print a banner with that font then cut it out on your template then use the template to make banners.

The template can be made of any large, thin material that can be easily cut and wont let the paint soak thru. Vynil wall board from Lowes will work in a pinch.

Tyvek is the current material of choice, but I got a forward from the guys in AZ who started this, and they are now using used billboard vynil which they are getting for almost free from billboard companies when they change signs. It's supposed to be much stronger and way more durable.

Heres a snip from that email:
But the Tyvek isn't strong enough for
long periods outside where it is windy and had to be grommetted to
have any lasting use outside. About a month ago the Utah RPR made
the suggestion that outdoor advertisers use a heavy duty vinyl for
their billboards and that when they are taken down it has to go
somewhere. GREAT IDEA! We immediately contacted the local
billboard companies and asked for the subcontractor that was
responsible for actually putting up and taking down the billboard
vinyl. We didn't want to talk to "the suits" since they are 'shiny
badgers' that like to say "No". Usually the person in charge of
the putting up and taking down is an 'operations mamager'. These
guys usually have side deals with people that buy the material to
???? do whatever with it and use the money to buy beer for the
Christmas Party. large 14' x 48' heavy duty non-rip vinyl (and I
mean _Non-Rip_) only costs us $15 each and we get at least 25 - 4'
x 8' banners out of them (SCORE!)

Hope this helps,
eb

Anyone know where I can buy Tyvek in So Cal? or maybe online? I couldn't find any at Home Depot or Lowes.

I'm going to buy a projector to make banners.. once i get it, I'll be happy to trace out stencils for you guys onto paper then you guys can transfer it to a real stencil.
