I reply with two words:

Nelson Mandela.

It shuts them up and gets them to think of the possibilities and that age matters little in transforming a country. I've even converted some almost overnight due to this response and all of them now consider Dr. Paul a serious candidate!

I just tell them that Ron Paul bikes with kids in 100+ degree Texas heat.

Throw in Dr. Paul's challenge to any of the other candidates to go for a 20-mile ride in that 100 degree Texas heat. There's even video of it.

Can you link it? I tried to get my dad to donate today but he said "he's too old to throw money at" I mentioned how much Ron exercises but he shrugged it off.

I had a friend voice concern over his age last week. I told her I'd take my chances with age over corruption any day, without a moment's hesitation.

Looks like Nelson Mandela was 76 when he became President of South Africa.

Btw, Ronald Regan was 74 when elected to his second term.

And I bet Reagan was not in near as good of shape and already succumbing to Alzheimer's. Ron is as quick as a whip!

Reagan left office at 77, the same age Ron Paul would be entering the White House (77 1/2). So Reagan was re-elected at 72 or 73 years old. I've read that Paul would be the second-oldest elected first-time President in modern world history if he becomes the 45th President.

even if he were too old, which he isn't, I'd rather have President Paul for a year than any of the others for 4 or 8 [shudder].

What I don't get is how do you get to old to sit at a desk and make decisions? Plus he's gonna shrink the size of government so his job will be even easier!

24/7 news cycle makes for higher travel demands and more press conferences.

But yeah, if we had less to worry about, the media would have to find something else to talk about. lol

I would rather see a more mature person be President, then a younger United Nations, bankster owned politician...

The truth shall set you free, and Paul empowers the truth. That's why the media and government hate him so much...

Spot on! Chronological age means very little... there are 60 year old people who have the energy of people half their age. Conversely, there are some who are chronologically young... yet they are old (health wise).
