It seems people aren't quite fed up enough. They still have a Coke Vs. Pepsi mentality when electing candidates and they still trust the MSM of their choice. We can see the system chipping away piece by piece as Paul has gained momentum over the years. But people still just aren't awake and ready yet. So I have to assume our nation must face some level of collapse before people start demanding a real change. A change in our media and a change in our standards. I wonder exactly what it will take to create the awakening we need.

I think it will be a quick progression as less people tune into fox and more people get on the internet. How many of us would have had any idea about Dr. Paul without the internet? How many of us would have heard of liberty, sound money, and a humble foreign policy?

With all due respect to the elder generation (they're just misled and don't know better), them dying off and younger internet viewers growing up will do a lot towards opening a country to a Paul-style presidency. I'm not saying it guarantees it, but it certainly creates the opportunity.

In order to quickly change a culture, a significant traumatic event is needed. After the event, people will go through the progressive stages of emotions very similar to that of dealing with a death. Not all stages may be experienced by everyone.

When the economy takes a giant $hit and the middle class realizes that they/we are the lower class. It will happen within the next 3-5 years. I kind of doubt it happens this year because we will be the benefactor of the european collapse.

Easy question. Never. Look at history. Democracies always crumble. Governments no matter how well intentioned always end up corrupt and totalitarian.

Why ? HUMAN NATURE. You will never change human nature. Humans are just like animals in that they fight for dominance.

History always repeats and people never change. Generations are born ignorant and do not learn from previous generations. Just like a teenager has to bang his head against the wall to really see if it hurts no matter how many times you tell him or her.

Based on history I have come to the conclusion man cannot HONESTLY govern his fellow men. Man eventually becomes corrupt by power.

Bread and circus baby. Many people don't want responsibility and that is what it takes to maintain freedom. Too many sheeple and never enough independent thinkers nor people that will fight to maintain their freedoms. People are too lazy and don't want to really learn and know about the issues to make intelligent and informed decisions.

The battle won't stop there though, we have so much to do that even 8 years with a RP Republican as President would only be the beginning.

My LPFM transmitter's final is out -- Instead of repairing it I've decided to go with MORE POWER and a cleaner signal - a HLLY 5 watt My past attempts have been meager, under 1 watt, and not 24/7 and zero advirtising. I'm working on several 8 hour loops of material to be continuously broadcast. My idea is to spread basic tenants of Freedom - educational pieces of great literature like Bastiat, Hayek, and Mises. As well as contemporary folks like Tom Woods, G Edward Griffin, Stefan Molyneux,etc.

I want people to think about freedom. My goal is to convert all of the folks (to freedom thinkers) within 2 miles of me. When I get my HLLY - I will create a thread for all to see.

Look, here is what we can do. We keep educating and influencing our family and friends, first. It must start with them. We need to keep opening their eyes to the lies of the MSM, and tell them to start thinking for themselves. At that point, we can start going more in depth about the idea of liberty, and for some it'll stick, others, it won't. But, we need to start with teaching them about the bias of the MSM.

Just keep pushing along. Don't give up, keep educating friends and family.

Exactly. We can't wait for America to be ready, or it will be too late. Were the majority of colonists "ready" for the Revolution? Did it matter that they were ready? We are the small, passionate minority that is the catalyst for change. We are winning. We cannot be stopped. We may not win every battle, but we have already won the war.
