When / where will Ron announce for 2012?

The best thing that could happen to this country could be Ron Paul announcing his candidacy for the presidency. If he doesn't, we'll just have to draft him.

I like your attitude.. But I would not worry about it.. He's running.

I think his book will be a fantastic attribute for the campaign, people will pick it up out of curioristy/learn about Ron.

You actually can do that in the primaries. In caucus states, you do not have to file a run to begin with, and so a draft could be conducted there. Eisenhower beat Taft in the NH primary despite not actually running for President, or even saying whether he was a Republican or Democrat.

To understand the best answer to this question, we should be thinking about how presidential campaigns work politically.

Campaigns are a build up of pressure by political narratives. If we want to be successful in this campaign, we should be asking ourselves this question:

How do we make Ron Paul the Tea Party Candidate? How do we create that narrative?

As soon as possible is the worst possible answer.

He should Run as the Tea Parties choice

Much like Rand Paul did in Kentuky, Ron must run as a leader in the Tea Party movement. WE have a huge advantage in that we can make a serious claim to the Tea Party while Romney and Huckabee will splilt the votes up among the Moderate Republicans. Sarah Palin kinda creates a problem in that she may take some Tea Party support away from the good Doctor. Other then that we do need to really campaign hard among the Tea Party.
I think he should announce either at CPAC 2011 or on Gleen Beck on live TV in front of 2 million plus viewers. (regardless of what you think of Beck, its politically smart)

Correct.

...Romney and Huckabee will splilt the votes up among the Moderate Republicans.

Incorrect. To win the GOP nomination, candidates will have to resonate with the Tea Parties. The Tea Parties will decide the victor. Our narrative must be "Ron Paul IS the Tea Party".

correct

you dont think Huckabee and Romney will split up the votes of the moderates? I hope they do. That means if the Tea Party can rally behind one candidate (Ron Paul) he has a very good chance of winning. This is where Palin comes in as a problem because she also will be somewhat popular among the tea Party.

I don't think there is a moderate wing of the Republican Party right now. If there is one, it is irrelevant.
