If the fact that his last name is Bush is not enough to discourage voters his policies won't matter either.

since when do positions matter? people will just vote for whomever the idiot box tells them to vote for

Not sure how to take this comment, but voters are not exactly flocking to Bush. Bush is well below the level Ghouliani started at in early 2007.

People will shift their positions quicker than you can say "WTF!" Saw it with GWB and foreign policy.

Bush walks into the race with Texas and Florida pretty much cinched. Stopping him is literally going to take a miracle.

Actually, Ted Cruz owns Texas if he wants it. Don't know if he will run though.

He has the biggest name in GOP national politics. No better surname to have in a poll.

I think Cruz should run to keep Texas from Bush. Also I think Steve King in Iowa might endorse RINOs Huckabee or Christie whoever has a better chance of keeping Bush out of 1st.

Ron Paul endorsing pro-amnesty Jerry Patterson might hurt Rand. Going to a press conference with GP Bush and Cornyn also hurt Rand.

They really don't care.

Bush is a formidable opponent with a connected network of donors and a lock to win FL and probably TX. I think he'd also have a damn good chance at sweeping IA, NH, SC.

If Rand is smart and I think he is, he would make a half hearted effort at the early states, then drop out to let Jeb lose to Hillary and emerge well positioned for next time.

GOP voters care about key issues. Example A is Rudy Ghouliani who had a 20% lead in the polls all through 2007 until voters found out his issue positions.
