When the HELL will we be out of the UN?!

I would prefer to destroy it from the inside like the death star. We don't want it to exist after we leave orbit. Might come after us.

Elect principled Statesman who don't waffle, and don't care about political ramifications.

I think Vegas has a betting line on something like 10 million to 1 that we leave the UN in the next 20 years.

Ten million to one being we're unlikely to withdraw from the UN?

And yeah, not sure how we'd destroy it... but I am sure that blue helmets will be on our streets after an economic/systemic collapse.

Get ready for absolute tyranny...

I researched this for a presentation in 2003-ish, and there was a bill proposing just this (leaving the UN) back then. It might be something worth researching if you're interested, OP.

20 years ago they said auditing the Fed was never gonna happen...

One solitary soul persisted.

In order to break-loose from the meetings we're apart of with the U.N., you have to change policy, plain and simple. If we finally come to terms where we actually begin to realize that the unecessery billions upon billions of dollars being spent towards 'foreign aid', 'policing the world', and 'nation-building', are doing nothing but bringing not only future conflicts ahead, but also recessions to our neck of the woods, then we can convert back to our 'non-intervention' ways, and break ties with the U.N. Our ill-conceived legislation for some odd reason just cannot comprehend to what our country is going through due to our 'interventional theory'.

For example,
The U.N. has done nothing but put us in an agreement to follow and reinforce their resolutions, which is never anything that is actually decalarated by our Congress, which is totally 'unconstitutional'. Invading Iraq 'pre-emptively' was totally 'illegal', and we're now paying the price back home.

The US and other western governments set up the UN as a tool to promote their interests. We won't leave unless it ceases to help us do what we want to (for the most part- we don't always get away with everything but in that case just choose to ignore the UN). The closest we have come to leaving it is the witholding of our membership payments to the UN as a blackmail.

In Gulf War I we used the cover of the UN for the attack on Iraq [liberation of Kuwait] (and basically got other countries to pay for it as "partners"). In Gulf War II we tried and could not get enough support so we did it anyways. We (Bush Jr) thought we could do that one on the cheap and quickly too but was wrong on both accounts.
