When complex systems fall apart because there is no one qualified to operate them

Atlas Shrugged was a better prediction of the future than anything Nostradamus ever wrote.

+rep for this one, AF.

I had no idea that the FAA had fallen so far, so fast. I've noticed in recent years many more obviously minority voices from atc and that is often associated with dialects that do not clearly transmit over the radio. It is literally mush-mouth. This poor annunciation would not have been tolerated in years past. That, by itself, will contribute to incidents/accidents over time.

On the airline side, it is quite obvious who they want for pilots when you see their recruitment ads.

Be afraid folks, be very afraid.

As a gross generalization, the gap in competence in technical/spacial/engineering competence is greatest between males and females. That's just a statistical fact. Obviously that does not apply to all individuals, some women may be very good, some men very bad.

But what is unequivocally bad for everyone is hiring based upon quotas rather than ability. And to expose the standard hypocrisy of the elite, find out how they hire pilots for their private jets...

I know The Roach can find this.

IIRC there was story out last week that the Feds were getting ready to prosecute banks and mortgage lenders for asking potential borrowers about their immigration status.

Because rayciss, of course.

But to fail to do that means they would not be in compliance with the PATRIOT Act.

Not that I give a fuck about the banks or the invaders looking to borrow money and skip out on their loans.

Fuck 'em all, as far as I'm concerned.

Just another delicious irony of the banksters being consumed by the golem they themselves created.

Oy, Gevalt!

It rings a bell (though I'm not sure if the steeple was RPFs or Twitter).

Anyway, back in October, DOJ & the Federal Reserve's "Consumer Financial Protection Bureau" jointly issued statements (DOJ here, CFPB here) huffing and puffing about how banks aren't allowed to reject loan applications solely on the basis of immigration status.

Then a week or so ago, U.S. House rep. Any Ogle (R-TN) decided to introduce legislation huffing and puffing about how banks are actually allowed to consider immigration status after all - just not "solely", but merely as one factor among others (in a farrago of factors that may or may not run afoul of myriad federal regulations, depending on the political preferences of whomever happens to be overseer of the executive plantation at the moment - see, for example, the aforementioned joint statements).

As far as I can tell, Ogle's proposal would just amount to "clarification" wankerism that wouldn't actually do or change anything (though I suppose it might be useful for campaign rhetoric & fundraising purposes). IOW: Unsurprisingly, Republicans are far too ballsless to dare assert that banks should indeed be allowed to reject loan applications solely on the basis of immigration status (or for any other reason, while we're at it).

This does not surprise me at all.

The majority of invaders are coming from nations where the average IQ is borderline or below functional mental retardation.

Good luck with your next heart surgery or electric wiring expansion.

Delta Airlines DEI.
American Airlines DEI.
Southwest Airlines DEI.
Jet Blue DEI.
Alaska Airlines DEI.
Spirit Airlines DEI.
You might notice that it's... all of them.

Then you should ask yourself the obvious question: Why? Why is the entire airline industry taking these risks, together with manufacturers (Boeing) and manufacturer suppliers (Spirit Aerosystems)? Why?

ESG is a big part of the answer. It's forcing the industry to commit suicide. It knows it will get there through people dying unnecessarily.

There's massive demand not to do this. It would make them more competitive. But they're ALL doing it. There's some non-market logic at play here. They're under the control of a cartel, and innocent people will die if we don't get them out of it.
