Atheists + Agnostics add up to 24.4% in this poll. If you add "I am only loosely associated with my religion", which is at 20%, you've got nearly 50% of his ardent supporters that are not very religious.

I hope our favorite politician is aware of the substantial lack of religion in his fans.

Specify: I believe we are a creation. By who or what? I haven't a clue. I do not worship who or what created us.

I am not a fan of bashing faith or the faithful. I'm not a fan of bashing religion or the religious. I do, however, believe that when one of those inserts itself in the political debate, it is open for scrutiny.

I can't honestly say I'm a practicing Buddhist, but having read about all the major religions of the world I'd say that most closely matches my spiritual beliefs. I love it because it's more about figuring out yourself and your place in the universe rather than adherence to religious rules and trying to convert the whole world to your belief system.
