What's your favorite Anti-War song?

From the last years of the Cold War:

English version:

Anti war song financed by East Germany for West Germany consumption (Title translates as Peace for the Teddy Bears)

I forgot about the Luftballoons .

Oh another of my favorites just popped up.

When I came back from Luang Prabang
I didn't have a thing where my balls used to hang,
But I got a wood medal and a fine harangue.
Now I'm a fucking hero.

Mourn your dead land of the free!
If you want to be a hero follow me.
Mourn your dead land of the free!
If you want to be a hero follow me.

And now the boys all envy me:
I fought for Christian Democracy
With nothing but air where my balls used to be.
Now I'm a fucking hero

Mourn your dead land of the free!
If you want to be a hero follow me.
Mourn your dead land of the free!
If you want to be a hero follow me.

When one and twenty cannon thunder
Into the bloody wild blue yonder
For a patriotic ball-less wonder.
Now I'm a fucking hero.

Mourn your dead land of the free!
If you want to be a hero follow me.
Mourn your dead land of the free!
If you want to be a hero follow me.

In Luang Prabang there is a spot
Where the corpses of your brothers rot,
And every corpse is a patriot,
And every corpse is a hero.

Mourn your dead land of the free!
If you want to be a hero follow me.
Mourn your dead land of the free!
If you want to be a hero follow me.

Ant this one to tune of Ballad of the Green Berets - I think there was a tube with an OK English lyric translation

And I agree with a your music taste as well. Didn't really expect to see German language songs posted on here, especially Heidi Bruhl, a very under appreciated diverse singer. RIP

Here's a fairly 'new' anti-war tune. Not for everybody, but this one is pretty intense.

Atrocities
Made every day
Religiously

Their sins
They hide
Can never disguise
Blood stained hands
Blood stained times
Blood stained deeds
Blood stained lies

They wage their wars
Such profiteers
Will nail us all

Their crimes
Concealed
Despicably reveal

Blood stained hands
Blood stained times
Blood stained weapons
Blood stained lies

They fire at will
Intent to kill
They have no conscience
They have no conscience
Ethnic cleansing nothing more!
Blood of nations blood of war

Turn blind eyes
From all your crimes
You bare our souls
Show no remorse
You cannot wash
The bloodstains off

They turn their backs
While others
Commit grisly acts

We're scared
For life
By politicians' greedy

Blood stained hands
Blood stained times
Blood stained weapons
Blood stained crimes
Blood stained lands
Blood stained minds
Blood stained deeds
Blood stained lies

And while such predators
Stalk this earth
Disguised as saints
They kill our faith

Obsessed by greed
Lying through their teeth
They cannot wash
The blood stains off

I'm a Nicole fan too. I almost added that one to the list.

I'll go with "War" (the Edwin Starr and Springsteen versions are my favorites, but it's been done by dozens of bands) and "One" by Metallica.

Also, "Born in the USA" (Springsteen) is a pretty serious anti-war song, though it is more than just anti-war. It's ironic that many warmongers play it as a "patriotic" song- they've probably never listened to the words.
