What's with 256 pages?

Peter Schiff, Tom Woods, Judge Napolitano, Jesse Ventura, Sean Hannity... etc... all of their books are 256 pages. Different publishers. At CPAC the Judge also said that the publisher makes him do exactly 256. I get it probably has something to do with sales... but I'm wondering why? Why exactly 256? It's not even like it's a range from 250-260 or something...

Well...it's a power of 2 (and the power itself is a power of 2 ;)). Maybe their databases store each book's page count in an 8-bit character ranging from 0-255, where 0 means 1? ;)

Seriously though, that's damn weird.

When I write my book... if someone tells me I should add or remove a few pages to have 256, I'm gonna spit on the guy's face.

Is "End The Fed" 256 pages?

256 fits within an ancient numerology used by the NWO in order to implement mind control over the small percentage of Americans that still read. It correlates with the end of time; given that it's the end of the book, the book represents time. The NWO is preparing us to accept that time must end, and do so when they (publishers) say so, oppose to when good men like Schiff, Woods, and Napolitano think it should end - I think the Judge said he wanted his book to be like 8000 pages, which allows for time to be a lot longer. The judge, Schiff, and Woods were entrapped by the NWO publishers, Hannity actually wanted to end his book after 34 pages. We must not give in to the NWO publishers, time must go on.

BRING BACK AYN RAND NOVELS!

The funny thing is, I halfway expected someone to say something similar, except not as a joke.

Nope. It's 212, including the 2 pages of Suggested Reading at the end.

However:
212
2 + 1 + 2 = 5
212 => 2 and 12 => 12 and 2 => 12 / 2 = 6
2.5.6. :eek:

Also:
256 = 2^8 = 2^(2^3)
Starting at the first digit of End the Fed's page count, sample four digits backwards (wrapping around): 2212 => 22 1+2 => 223 => 2^(2^3) = 256!!! :eek:

LOL, even though it's impossible to tell satire from seriously made arguments at RPF. At least without being familiar with the poster.

The giveaway was Napolitano's 8000 pages and the all-caps comment about Ayn Rand at the bottom. Now, Sean Hannity's desire to make his book 34 pages...that I might believe. ;) (Not really though, because he's the type to make it thirty times longer than it has to be just for appearances.)

256 pages = 64 actual pages...

My guess is that 1 large piece of paper can be cut down into 64 actual pages upon which 256 book pages are printed. Saves money, maybe?

I don't know, I'm just throwing shit around.

This would make a lot of sense, except for the fact that page counts do not typically include every page in the book (such as the title page, publishing info, etc.). That said, I imagine the true answer isn't too far off.

Then again, I don't own any of the books mentioned in the OP. For all I know, the aforementioned 256 pages actually could include the unpaginated ones.

...scratch that. The highest page number in Meltdown is 192, which is 3/4 of 256. ;)
Jeremy, how many books are you sampling from?

Excel is in on it too. Why doesn't excel need more than 256 columns? They want us to give up and accept their illusion of the set-timed apocalypse, we need more columns and pages.

But then they have those extra pages, right?

Well after the Judge said that his publisher made him write his new book with 256, I looked on Amazon and found that ALL of his books (besides his first one I think) are 256. Then tonight I noticed Schiff's new book coming out is 256. So I looked at a few more and saw the ones I mentioned. I only briefly looked, so there's probably a lot more. You can just look on Amazon. As for Tom Woods, his new book about Nullification is 256.

Maybe the amazon numbers are wrong?

Do a google search for 256 and books and you might be surprised.

Yeah I already tried that. Well I googled "256 pages." It just brings up the results of all the books with 256 pages... a lot! Then I googled "255 pages" and "257 pages." There are MUCH more results for "256 pages." We already knew that though, lol...
