Whats Next? Something that can't be insulted as easily...

Now that the tea parties have completely thrown the media into a frenzy, we need to start immediately to get some more protests set up.

We all have seen how the MSM has attacked the tea parties much to easily with tea bagging references... Is there any other topic we could use as a base that cannot be attacked as easily?

Im just trying to get this board brainstorming, because I know good stuff happens when ya'll start thinking!!!

When do you guys think would be the next prime time for another protest?

JV

We need some HR 1207 parties staged in front of every Congressman's local office. People should show up with candles, lanterns and flashlights. Let's bring some sunshine on the Fed. Is July 12 too late?

Not just a message man we need action. Marching in the streets and in gathering in parks is one thing. Blocking the doors to OUR BUILDINGS THAT WE PAID FOR and keeping those people out of those buildings that WE DIDN"T PUT there is action.

See what I am saying. The galvanizing issue I think is free speech and privacy. What one government place do you know of that invades privacy AND squashes free speech? The dam fusion center. See what I am saying?

What place is war mongering and crushes civil liberties? City hall might crush civil liberties but damn how does it war monger? See what I am saying. I mean we the people own these buildings. This is where we need to gather on damn public property because we are the people. Its our place to make sure this property is doing what we want it to do. Thats why I am saying go to the fusion center. Thats where the power elite are going to for all their info. Knowledge is Power. Power is Money. Money is Control. Follow the dam money!

The fusion centers were never meant for foreign purposes, DHS was never meant to fight foreign terrorist. These fools set this shit up to gather information on the people in this country. They take that information and crunch it into knowledge about all of us. Then they use that knowledge as a competitive advantage and use it to hold power over us. They use that power to steal from us. They take our money and then control us. This is the aparatus, this is how the washington elite are snaking their way around our necks.

We aren't gonna die in the quicksand of wars and general eroding of liberties. We are gonna die when that python from washington wraps around our necks and crushes our larynx and squezes our guts from the inside out exposing parts of us that aren't supposed to be exposed.

We need to get this damn snake off our throats now before it wraps up our arms and ties our hands down. See what I'm saying thats what these fusion centers and shit like MIAC and National DHS IAC reports are gonna do. They have the databases built up now to gather this info on every single person. Believe that. Fuck whos on what list yadda bullshit. Washington is using that money to pay huge corps to build this system to be so damn granular as to control us on a level that NO SLAVE have ever been controlled before.

SHUT DOWN THE DAMN FUSION CENTERS!

And by the way, they use that bullshit database they have to find the hot buttons for the popular support. See now that the outraged libs got their man in office, they are pacified. So the reports talk shit about the other side. These reports as has been shown can focus on several tiers. The national tier to combat the tea party movement, and the state tier to combat stuff like the CFL convention. See how they use this damn information? They use it to maintain this fake as split between Americans. See how damn convenient it is to have us divided damn near 50/50? We spend all this fucking money trying to figure out which issue gets to be the asshole issue for the other side to come along and fuck up. Thats all those damn elections are is a big ass collection box to pay off these fucking fake ass politicians cause the damn corps promise that money in their damn high ratings bullshit called elections. Those motherfuckers make us pay for it 2 and 3 times!

Let some liberal movement get some momentum right now just for the hell of it. Get behind a traditionally "liberal" movement stage a protest in a Repub controlled state and see if you don't get some kind of bullshit ass MIAC type document pop up warning cops about that action. Thats the points see. The problem is these strings are getting pulled by some central command center in Washington. We don't need that kind of bullshit going on. We see how lobbyist control the info in washington and you better believe the corps got their dirty little hands on all that OTHER information collected that we shouldn't worry about if we are innocent.

Information like people talking about new ideas for alt fuel sources. The motherfuckers will steal that idea off your email, or tapped phone call or some paid shill tip they get. Thats what that goddamned database is all about. Believe that shit. Fuck Fusion Centers.

Have we started a Fascist Watch List yet?

I'm down for this. Thing is tho, we needed dedicated rallies. Everyday stuff that gets reinforced over the weekends. I want to camp out in front of these offices. Literally take up residence in front of these doors.

This bill MUST go before the full congress for a measured vote. Honestly, we cannot seriously expect congress to listen to people as long as we only show up for a few hours in a park on the corner for a couple days a year.

All these unemployed people out here have plenty of time on their hands to do this, I am one of them. It won't take huge crowds of people, just 20-30 in front of every office. We commit to this camp out until there is a vote on the house and senate floors NO MATTER HOW LONG IT TAKES!

We take video cameras and laptops and have a website set up. We communicate with each other daily so we are coordinated with our chants and media response. We document everything and take up petitions.

I'd like to see some 10th amendment protests at every State's capital to put pressure on the individual states to declare their true role as states in the Constitution.

We could have the protests begin after our state congress critters get inside the building and then totally shut the place up until action is taken by our 'representatives'.

So it seems like there are 3 or 4 major leanings...

1) Strengthening End the Fed protests.
- Possible problems: Fed offices not in every state or town.

2) "We need some HR 1207 parties staged in front of every Congressman's local office. People should show up with candles, lanterns and flashlights. Let's bring some sunshine on the Fed. Is July 12 too late?"
-This is connected to End The Fed, but would solve the problem of the scarcity of the offices. Kinda like bringing the End The Fed protests to the doors of our congressmen.

3) Fusion Center protests.
-I like this one, but we are going to have to get people that are not cowards. Blocking the doors peacefully may get some people arrested... Maybe we could combine this with the protests in front of the congressional offices for a Mega rally? We could have VFW there, ETF, Libs, Reps, everyone thats mad about being profiled...

4) 10th amendment rallys

5) 2 amendment gun owners rallys.

6) Combine all the Amendment Rallies into one large Bill of Rights Rally. (Thanks Deborah!)
Just trying to bring some organization to our ideas. Keep throwin' out more suggestions!

Yes, except I don't believe that the general public will participate or have any sympathy for an End The Fed protest until they have been educated as to why it is a necessity. Thus, I believe that promoting HR 1207 - promoting transparency - is a necessary first step. A first step that the general public can rally behind and support.

So it seems like there are 3 or 4 major leanings...

1) Strengthening End the Fed protests.
- Possible problems: Fed offices not in every state or town. This is an on going theme at all rallies. The End the Fed styled protests need to happen at the offices of the Federal Reserve. These need to be educational type protests because there is no action that can occur at the private property of these buildings. Educate the people and focus on the outrage and exposing secrecy. DO NOT try and get media attention or expect to challenge the laws here.

HR1207 needs to get more media attention. We also need to provide HR 1207 education at the End the Fed style protests. HR1207 style protest are actionable. This is a legal issue that needs to be challenged at the doors of Congress. Those offices are in the public domain therefor we the people are responsible for what occurs on that property. The Beauty of this type of protest is that it will bring exposure and education at the congressional level. This will also show commitment of the people and also highlight on a local level the impact of Washington and the impact we the people have on DC.

3) Fusion Center protests.
-I like this one, but we are going to have to get people that are not cowards. Blocking the doors peacefully may get some people arrested... Maybe we could combine this with the protests in front of the congressional offices for a Mega rally? We could have VFW there, ETF, Libs, Reps, everyone thats mad about being profiled...This style protest strikes at the heart of the government control apparatus. This is a direct legal challenge and a show of force. It cannot be denied that people WILL be arrested. We need lawyers lined up to sue and challenge the Fusion Center laws, as well as defend the protesters. We need to create standing for innocent people to have their names searched in these databases to find out what kind of information is being collected and used. Creating a civil trial based on a defense of alleged criminal activity may give us some insite. Once I am off probation, I will be looking for my FL fusion center. There will be media attention when the government crosses the line of squelching free speech. There will be outrage when an officer who doesn't know the law crosses the line to defend his/her preceptions of what the law should be. This would need to be an extremely calculated protest that feeds information back and forth with participants. State and local laws will vary for this style protest. The idea and goal is simply call the bluff by going all in and force the Fusion Center legistlation to show its hand regarding domestic terrorism and targetting law abiding Americans and soldiers of all political stripes! We need this exposure to dig deeper into this database to uncover the non-violent related information that is being accumulated and anylzed on behalf of corporate interest.

4) 10th amendment rallys These are what I would consider background issues and rallies based on this type of Rhetoric would be devisive IMO. However, I do support anyone who would want to combine and defend states rights along with individual rights. These rallies will be extremely politicized and slanted from what I have seen in TX. I do not see"bi-partisan" support for this type of activity. There is no clear target or public domain that I can see. State capitols possibly, but I do not see something like this being effective in states like FL that has no history of exercising its own rights. I am encouraged to see this issue brought up in a broader Bill of Rights type protest that I believe can be effective at every state capitol.

5) 2 amendment gun owners rallys. Same as above with the caveat, this would be an even more divisive and support the left right paradigm. The media would have a field day with this type of rally. The gun lobbies would have no problem co-opting this type of rally and turning into a gunshow.

6) Combine all the Amendment Rallies into one large Bill of Rights Rally. (Thanks Deborah!)

This to me is an excellent idea that can be pulled off civil rights style. I view this type of rally much like the fusion center rally concept but with a broader area of potential in the public domain. Every city has a city hall. Every local government has a seat of power. These are public places that committed supporters can gather and take responsibility for their governments actions.

Lets look at some goals.

1.) Striking while iron is hot. One thing is for sure about the rallies 4/15/09 was that people are pissed off. For sure there are a lot more people upset and the more nerve people get, the more people will start coming out of the woodwork.

2.) Control the media. The media is struggling to keep control of the information that is getting out at these rallies for the people not attending. As the media struggles, more and more people realize that the media is part of the problem. So we need to keep these protest, images and, gatherings in the news. The media will shoot themselves in the foot.

3.) Challenge unconstitutional laws and actions based on those laws. The message needs to be clear in all of the instances. The government works for the people, and the people demand the government be held accountable to their oaths to uphold the law of the land. There are specific issues at stake here, some of which are outlined above.

I feel that we can galvanize the popular support by being selective and choosing the right kinds of protests and actions. We need a 3 pronged "attack" that will channel popular outrage, regulate the media to its traditional status of reporting facts, and tackle the legal issues that are being marginalized by the two party mirage. I have responded to some of the concerns of the above styled protests above.

I agree with the idea of "Stop the Spending." Spending has to be the issue, because it gives us the high moral ground of opposing "generational theft."

The tax thing doesn't really work, because the real tax is inflation.

Thus, I believe that promoting HR 1207 - promoting transparency - is a necessary first step. A first step that the general public can rally behind and support.

I forgot to mention that a HR 1207 protest in front of Congressional offices - both R and D - cannot be co-opted by the GOP or media talking heads into a neocon love fest.

It would be good for Congressional Reps to hear from their constituents about what's really important.

billboard and tv ad bomb? .. i.e. gather funds and run an ad campaign like T. Boone Pickens did nationwide and have billboards all the way across the country on I-40 .. a couple in each state at least... for HR-1207 or some other cause. ? HR-1207 is a bi-partisan thing. A big ad campaign would force the media to talk about it.

If the CFL were serious about something like this then I'd dump some cash on them. Speaking of which, I got a letter in the mail TODAY begging for money.. will I donate again?

------------------

July 4th is too patriotic a day.. too easy for the media to paint any protests and "anti-government", and too hard to get people to side with you when they just want to enjoy a holiday watching fireworks. Kind of like protesting at a baseball game or nascar race.

May 5th?

I think the next step would be to get the American people to know there is no difference between a democrat and republican. It seems to be the biggest obstacle we face in getting others to understand the other side(s) of issues and to debate much larger issues at hand. We need to remove that conception people have in their mind that D's are different than R's. Videos comparing Dem and Repub spread far and wide would help.

YES YES YES!

If your critter is NOT a sponsor, you need to start protesting.

And remember to PLAY TO YOUR AUDIENCE!

I did not even mention Ron Paul. That keeps the people from brushing it off and saying, "Oh, it's the kooks again." Have signs/flyers that say something like "HR 1207 will force Bernanke to tell THE AMERICAN PEOPLE who he gave our tax dollars to!" and another one saying " ________ refuses to support 1207! And then a third one WHO DOES _______ work for?

:D
