What's for dinner?

Sorry to go all health nut on you, but I wish high saturated fat mayos were commercially available already.

Wow, the secret is MCT oil this whole time?? Awesome.. I don't eat a ton of mayo but I always have some in the fridge, I gave up on making my own because I don't eat enough and the flavor and texture never came out quite as good as the stuff from the store..

I'll have to whip up another batch as soon as my bottle is gone.

MCT is one way. Another way is making it from macadamia nuts. I don't have experience making it, I just heard from others.

Be careful with MCT though. Too much produces diarrhea. It's marvelous and healthful in the right amounts, but too much is uncomfortable.

I've never had a problem with MCT.. but I also hear stuff like "10x better than coconut oil" and I use it pretty sparingly, not usually more than a teaspoon or so at a time.

But ya they didn't say to just use MCT, but that it would give it a better texture if you add it in with some other oils.. I think I'm gonna go with mostly grass fed butter, a little coconut oil and a little MCT oil and see how it goes.

I only eat Hellman's on sandwiches. I make my own salad dressings.

For shame you heretic! You're obviously not from these parts. :p It's an ongoing debate here in the Carolinas....

I think that's a good amount. A tablespoon is enough to cause diarrhea in some. It's different from coconut oil in many ways, and it's definitely an under-researched substance.

I can go Kraft in a pinch but no Miracle Whip....as a kid though I preferred it.

Texan here...we don't cotton to no Dukes. Unless it's John Wayne. I actually have roots in N.C. but no..give me muh Hellmans.

If you put Hellman's on a fresh garden tomato sandwich the tomatoes will jump out. True story.

They sell Hellmans here too but I really don't like that mayo. We have some different brands here that would blow your mind. We actually eat our fries with mayo here because it's so good.

If I get mayo, I get the Kraft stuff made with olive oil. But I don't get mayo very often.

LOL it's true, some folks'll get into knock-down drag-out fights over this stuff. I just roll my eyes and walk on by with my Kraft Olive Oil Mayo. :D

Now if they started selling the Hellmanns with the olive oil and Dukes were to create an olive oil variety, then there might be trouble...

I was craving a vanilla milkshake tonight. I don't know why, but I just had to have one. I didn't feel like going out at all, but I grabbed my car keys and raced over to McDonald's. So I go through the drive up drooling thinking about the milkshake. I get to the window the girl hands me my milkshake without the big straw. So I asked her, "where's the big straw"? She says "we're out of staws". WTH!!! NO STRAWS??? So she offers me a spoon, which is really lame. How can you enjoy sucking that off a spoon?

So I was really pissed off and there's a Wendy's right next to McDonald's. I drive over there through their drive up and begged for a straw for my milkshake and the guy just looks at me like I'm nuts. So I said--look--my milkshake I just got is melting here and I need one fast--pronto!. He said-oh, okay then. I got my straw finally--I sucked on that thing so hard I got brain freeze. This shit only happens to me.

Is McDonalds even a real milkshake or that powdered stuff?
