Miracle Whip is gross. I've never had rice pudding but it sounds nasty. I have an Aunt that makes "cracker salad" with Miracle Whip. She says "it's just like potato salad but with crackers". I don't like potato salad but cracker salad just ain't right. I think she got a Miracle Whip cookbook back in the 1970's and just won't let it die. She also makes weird jello molds. The only thing she makes that's edible is a Graham Cracker Cake, it's got candied fruit in it, and it's surprisingly delicious. Maybe she has a cracker cookbook.:confused:

A friend of my dad's used to eat Limburger cheese and onion sandwiches:eek:, those things smelled disgusting. After my dad retired, he would come over and bring his own sandwich for lunch. My mom thought it was some kind of "yankee food" (he was from NY) but my dad said he was a "day drinker" and ate them to disguise the liquor on his breath. If that was the case, someone needed to tell him about breath mints cuz that man reeked.

Back to liver. My husband keeps trying to get me to try liverwurst, he loves it. I keep telling him, if I don't like liver why on earth would I like the wurst part of the liver, lol. He keeps explaining what "wurst" is to me and I keep pretending not to understand that it doesn't mean worst.:D He's starting to think I'm slow. I know what it is, I just play dumb to aggravate him.

Hilarious--Suz--you're crackin me up to tears here. I love liverwurst. My husband hates--hates Miracle Whip, but I love it. I can eat it on nothing but crackers. Actually--that Miracle Whip cracker salad sounds delish--have you got your aunt's recipe for that? :p

I lived in the south half of my life. I still get picked on here in Massachusetts because I still have a lot of my southern accent. I can't hide the rebel in me I guess. Hub says my southern accent always comes out after my third beer. lol

Oh wow... I just found out they built one of these things right on one of the exits I get off when I go on some surf trips down south... Will probably be there Monday!!
 
I just found that recipe for cracker salad-- :D



Servings 6 Units US




Directions


  1. Chop first three ingredients and put in mixing bowl. Crush the crackers and add to bowl of veggies.
  2. Add Mayonnaise and mix well.
  3. You can eat immediately or if you let sit in fridge overnight, the juices from the tomato will turn the crackers slightly pink and when eaten, people think there is shrimp or cheese in it. It is quite delightful as a very colorful and delicious salad.
  4. I have even used as an appetizer serving it with celery sticks or even on more crackers.

Dude, calm down, most people would happily take your fresh cut of beef.. I know I would.. Grass fed beef is a lot healthier and has better beef flavor than the grain fed stuff they sell in the stores.

There are cows all over where I live munching on grass.. you have no idea how much I wanna just take one to a butcher and put it all in a deep freezer.

But grass fed beef is expensive and hard to find here still, because most of the cows that are munching on grass end up in feed lots.. So sad.

How do I know your cow didn't have to walk miles around the farm for every meal on scrub grass and beetles? I know my grocery store cow was fed on grain and kept in the barn. :D

Yeah the Ritz or Keebler club crackers. I use those in my meatloaf too. I actually love that Miracle Whip and I don't know why, maybe because it's sweeter than regular mayo. Hub loves Hellmans--he won't eat anything but that. I've tried to sneak the Miracle Whip into salads and he tastes it right off the bat. Lol
