Whatcha fixin' for Thanksgiving?

After everyone left, I went to the Walmart for some black Friday shopping with my son.

We bought some 36 piece Rubbermaid sets for 7.00 - I bought 6 sets. I keep them in the garage so people can take home food in them when I have parties. They come in handy for that and it keeps people from walking off with my good stuff.

He picked out a $6.50 flannel shirt and a pair of $10.00 Wrangles for himself and his brother.

I bought a pair of jeggings ($9) and 2-pack of fleece leggings ($5) for me and my mom. I also got myself some $4.50 'training bras'.

My son bought a Lego Dimensions Gremlins set for his brother. My #2 has a thing with Gremlins. The movie terrified him when he was little so his brother picks him up a Gremlins item every once in awhile to troll him. His friends troll him with Gremlins, too. He's a weird little dude and kinda fun to troll because he's such a dick about it.

Then we rode by Target and went in because it wasn't busy. I bought the boys Christmas pj's. Yes, I still make them wear goofy pj's Christmas morning. It's the price they pay for getting gifts. I bought number two a Deadpool onesie and number one son a furry Chewbacca onesie. :D

because he is nice? or because he thought that would get rid of them quicker.... :)

He was being nice. She was leaving and struggling with it so he grabbed it. She's a nutter but my kids love her. She says shitty things to me every once in awhile but she's good to my kids and I don't hold grudges. I generally just laugh it off and move on with my life. I don't give a crap what most sane people think of me - much less what a crazy person thinks of me. Frankly, it bothers Mr Animal more than it does me. He doesn't like it when people are mean to me. He thinks I let people get away with treating me badly but I know who they are. I just don't let it bother me.

aww man..you participated in black Friday? I swore years ago, after years in retail, I'd NEVER participate in late night or holiday sales that demand workers work ungodly hours.. way early to way late on holidays. Online is a whole different story.. software doesn't care what day (Or night) it is.

Nothing--NOTHING--would ever top the item described below for a jacked-up traditional Christmas food item. I am very sure that you are already legendary in your family, but bringing this would cement your status for all time:

awwww.... c'mon. It doesn't sound all that bad.

"The taste of well-prepared lutefisk is very mild, and often the white sauce is spiced with pepper or other strong tasting spices."

gotta know what you're buying:

"Lutefisk prepared from cod is somewhat notorious, even in Scandinavia, for its intensely offensive odor. Conversely, lutefisk prepared from pollock or haddock emits almost no odor."

We went out for about an hour.

LOL, welcome to the restaurant business. You work ungodly hours when everyone else is off. Until a few years ago, my husband worked every holiday and the only weekends he has off is when we go on vacation. Some people are grateful for the extra hours and extra money.

We got to the sales hours after the doors opened and it was crazy - not because it was busy but because you could tell it had been busy and the place looked ransacked. My son said the Walmart parking lot looked liked something out of The Walking Dead. Carts strewn all over the place...only a few cars in the lot...it was kinda creepy.

I did a little online shopping, too. Kohls put almost all their BF deals online Monday and have been running them all week. I got poor Mr Animal some sneakers. The ones he's been wearing were the cheapest Walmart old man sneakers. Seriously, they're a few velcro straps away from being downright embarrassing. I got him some stylish looking, age appropriate sneakers for 29.00.
