What would be the best day to hold the nationwide Christmas Food Drive?

This should really be a meetup group effort. So those in meetup groups need to discuss it with their peers and see about working out a day for it.

Unfortunately, without a definite date set, I've had trouble getting people to commit...

So we're tied at "before" and "after." I still think it would be good to raise the food the week beforehand and drop it all off as part of the Weekend of Liberty festivities, but at this point I'll just be happy if we decide on something.

I can't believe only 13 people care enough about this to give some feedback. Go with your idea: Collect the food on December 7th or 8th; take it to the food bank on th 14th or 15th. Your call. Let's do it!
