What was your favorite answer by Ron Paul last night?

It would have to be the 30yo man question. Ron absolutely nailed it.

The response to the taxation exchange with Perry. It was a great soundbyte and made a lot of the news shows. It got a point across and led people to investigate on their own. It got people to squint at Perry and wonder what he was up to.

Oh I liked his other answers, but this one had the bonus of making it onto television.

"Im not sure I can get anyone to agree with me up here on this panel, but we spend 1.5 trillion dollars overseas in wars that we don't need to be in, and we need to cut there! And then put this money back into our economy here and thats the only way to achieve it. But its still not enough to get people out. What we need to do is cut the department of education, the department of energy, all these programs....get rid of em!....then we can do it!

or

There's a little embassy in Baghdad that cost us a billion dollars, bigger than the vatican, thats whats bankrupting this country. AND THATS THE EASY PLACE TO CUT!

the ONE he reeaallly should have got to answer but did NOT.

the answer was "All of it."

Ron's best answer last night was the answer he got booed on. Why do I believe so? The truth hurts, and to a lot of people that answer will really resonate and make them think. Sorry that sometimes the medicine is painful, but Ron really told the truth as bluntly as he possibly could, and didn't hold anything back. IF you watch the first 4/5 of his answer, people actually applauded and from where I was sitting, it really seemed they liked it. The only people that started booing were the morons who didn't understand the perspective from which Ron was speaking. Ron TOLD the truth to millions of people last night, particularly the progressive audience that watches CNN. I imagine a lot of people will be thinking very hard about what he said, especially the liberals who watched. We will never get the ignorant chicken hawk wing of the Republican party in our wing. To do that would be to convince millions of people that they were wrong, and to consciously admit so. IMHO if we lost, we lost as much as we gained in votes from the left.

My favorite was the answer to the last question. Though it was a fluff debate-ender question, Dr. Paul used it wisely to insert Austrian Economics into the conversation. The answer got cheers, and I think it will get some people researching what AE is and that will change minds among Tea Party people.

Agreed. The more people who realize that there was an entire school of thought that saw the current economic crisis coming from miles off the better Ron looks. I want him to be known as the one guy who knows why the economy is collapsing so that he will be looked to as the one to fix it (fix it by getting .gov and FED out of the way).

How should he have said it?

Rick, you are absolutely wrong about my blog. I do not blame America, it was terrorist thugs that committed these acts of terror and they are, in the end, the only ones to blame. The Constitution authorizes letter of Marque and Reprisal and that is how we should have gotten Bin Laden and it would have been done quicker and at a fraction of the cost. We MUST look at the policies that entice this behavior and allow terrorists to recruit so easily. If you would have actually read the 9/11 commission report you would know that the CIA and NSA explicitly said blowback was a primary cause for embassy bombings in Africa, the 1993 bombings of the world trade center, and the 9/11 hijackings. Yet you dissolve facts to take a cheap shot at me at the cost of those who died during 9/11 and that is SHAMEFUL.

^^takes about 35 seconds or so...
