I think most answers won't quite mold perfectly with your poll options. My answer: being against the New World Order, I was searching for honest, antiwar, antigovernment candidates. I liked Gravel and Kucinich for their honesty, but then I found Ron, and he matched up with me on everything (except for abortion and religion).

I guess you're asking where did you FIND Ron Paul...?

Was inspired by the Revolution HQ videos out of Phoenix and NYC with their Ron Paul Revolution banners. Then all the instructions saying to get a MySpace account and be a friend on MySpace and YouTube and Meetup started my activism. Then I found RonPaulForums and was inspired by the folks ordering business cards for cheap with Ron Paul talking points. And a grassroots volunteer was born! 7 months later, we've got a lot done!

I became alarmed, to the point of frantic, when I suddenly realized we were on the verge of a "financial tsunami". Went from permabull to permabear almost instantaneously.

My entire beliefe system was shaken before I knew who Ron Paul was.

"Full faith and credit of the US government"
"Invest for the long-term and you can expect an average 10% annual return"
"The US economy is the most vibrant and diverse in the world"

I think it was a reference to Ron Paul by Peter Schiff on CNBC last October that started me researching, and I've been an addict ever since.

I joined my local meetup, evangelize constantly to friends and family, and my wife and I are both maxed out. I've NEVER given to a campaign before and I've rarely voted.

I will proudly cast the most meaningful vote of my life for the Good Doctor.

As others have said, "I love you guys!"

Cheers

First started when I saw him rip into Bernanke. Then I started watching other youtubes of him speaking.

I liked Ron Paul before I saw the "Ron Paul: A New Hope" video, but that video really hit home with me. It made me want to get out and do something. It's a powerful and inspiring video :).

I had heard about him around the office a little. It mainly started with watching different videos from Google Video - namely America: Freedom to Fascism and Zeitgeist. There were others but the interview with Aaron Russo just made so much sense and for ONCE, I felt like:

"WOW! A politician that isn't talking circles? Isn't dodging the corruption that exists in his own legislative branch? I have got to learn more!"

And so I went to YouTube first, trying to find anything I could about Ron Paul. Every speech, every debate, every commercial - ANYTHING to make sure he was consistent. And he was... and almost immediately - I was obsessed with doing whatever I could to get this man elected.

That lead to more investigation, I started checking his voting record, the Ron Paul Library and then I started comparing and checking to see just how close he was to our founding fathers.

Ron Paul was the REAL DEAL! Something to this very day that blows my mind. A politician that actually practices what he preaches.

And so MY revolution began.

Found out about him when, he was basically the ONLY republican that wanted to online poker legal. Pretty ballsy.

Isn't it interesting that nobody yet has voted for "meeting RP supporters" !!??

I first heard of him in reference to his 2nd Amendment positions and H.R. 1096.
I read his positions, and writings, and have supported him since he announced his run.

On the first MSNBC debate. The logic thru me for a bit of a loop, not used to that. donated that night for my first time ever.

How I discovered him: When he rwned Rudy in the first Fox News GOP debate while discussing 9/11.

What convinced me to join the campaign: Watching his past speeches in the U.S. House via YouTube and Google Video, reviewing his writings explaining his positions on all the issues, and viewing his voting record.

The Google HQ video got me interested initially. Then it was RP's stance on individual freedoms and civil liberties that convinced me to join the grassroots effort.

In May, when Rudy said that he had never heard of blowback at the SC debate. Believe it or not, he was going to get my vote prior to me finding out about RP.
