What this campaign needs...

Since the Eisenhower administration, of whom he quotes relatively often.

Argh! Fat lot of help you are. Here I am on RPF, and I had to go to Wikipedia.

No, let's not ebomb Rachael Ray. Let's not depend on her, either. I sent the following to her producers. Perhaps we could cover our bets, though. If anyone thinks of one of the show's competitors that might have her on (and be worth her time), why not send something similar to them? Then please post who here so we don't duplicate our efforts.

The View hosted Ron Paul recently. The reaction was pretty positive, and I suspect his fans gave their ratings a bit of a bump. But I'm not writing to suggest you have a politician on your show.

No, I'm writing because that politician and Republican Presidential candidate has been married to the same woman for 54 years. Given McCain from last round, Gingrich now and countless others with their 'trophy wives', I just thought that might be exceptional enough to garner you some attention.

And I hear she bakes some justifiably famous Toll House cookies.

Might contact her husband's campaign...

I don't think we can depend on Rachael Ray. Someone either send that elsewhere or tell me where to send it.

Come on, help me out. I don't watch this stuff.

I totally agree. Summer cookbook maybe? With subsequent promotional tour?

Carol is a sweet lady and would be a HUGE help with the female vote. Remember how much Al Gore's poll numbers skyrocketed after he kissed Tipper on national TV?

...is a whole lot more Carol Paul.

Sorry, Mrs. Paul. Don't blame you for wanting to stay out of the fishbowl. But we really need you.

We need Carol to be the "Grandmother of America" type figure. And she neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeds to help us bring in women.

I was just thinking this a few weeks ago. Like most people here, I like Ron for his views and his honesty, but he is also a really personable guy. His wife asked HIM out when he was a "shy" 16 year old, and they have been together ever since. I think Carol Paul makes Ron look like a stand up guy, and I never go for the mooshy political stuff.
