What the hell is the Campaign doing with all the f***ing money?

you can have all the money in the world but it doesn't mean shit if the elites have a target on your head

Stop making excuses!

It doesn't help us.

Ron paul Looks cheap look at his post-primary speach setting vs. all the others. He looks like he's still running off a <1m budget...

hey i agree with you guys the campaign sucks ass at spending money, just look at that pathetic attempt at an infomercial, but still the media and all of the elites play a part in keeping rp down as well.

That's because Ron doesn't look legit in their/the public's eyes. It's not like it'd be hard for Paul to look legit either he has enough money to do it.

Here's the worst part: we blew a chance to make a big, early splash in IA & NH. Here's a nasty reality check, we are polling last place in Michigan, Nevada, South Carolina and Florida. Check out the polls for yourself at realclearpolitics. So where, exactly are we supposed to make this breakthrough with no time and no media coverage (because of the loss in NH)? Please don't try to tell me that all of these polls are wrong too. I'm going to bed everybody, goodnight.

Spot on.

Yep.

They had very well made commercials running around in these two states and were probably borrowing to make ends meet.

hell yeah, they were. it's called starting a fire. Ron Paul had to fight to get his name out, and he just doesn't fight well. he got his ass beat in the first two states for being so stingy.

If any of you had bothered to actually find out what Dr. Paul has been doing with the money in NH you would know that their strategy was radio, not television. And don't spit on them for that either. It is a strategy that has worked time and again in elections. Get an education people. These people KNOW what they are doing.

You can't expect us to beleive that when radio ads and seasoned people who know what they are doing, pull in 5th place out of technically 6, twice in a row.

Millions on TV/idiot box comercials should have been spent in both states.

High quality ones, even 30 minute infomercials.

It's all about market saturation. We live here on this forum talking amoungts ourselves, and think that the whole world knows about ron Paul. But there is a whole world out there that only hears about Ron Paul from the mainstream media, who paint him as fringe. We are a small but growing percentage. Don't lose hope.

There was a record voter turnout in Iowa and New Hampshire, due to the media blitz, and all of the other candidates focusing all of their efforts in those states. The campaign was smart not to blow the whole wad there, because that is not the case in the rest of the country, and especially Nevada, where voter turnout might be a record low, due to the caucus process. This will help us as Ron Paul has grassroots organizations almost everywhere. McCain, Huckabee and Thompson are out of money, and won't be able to afford to organize in the upcoming states. If we can give Ron Paul Nevada, he'll get some momentum and still have a fighting chance.

Unfortunately for the country, but fortunately for this campaign, the economy is going to hell, and the worse it gets, the more people will start to listen to Ron Paul.

I was pretty depressed about the results in New Hampshire, but after thinking about it realized that it's only been three states. we have a long way to go, and more people are learning about Ron Paul all the time, so it's not over yet. I love this county, and am not willing to give up this fight, even though it looks like the people in "Live free or die" just didn't get it..

I've been tracking the Campaign Staff for the past few months... I have NEVER seen such an inept performance.

There were great accolades from the other Campaign's staffs wishing they had RP's Money and diligent RP grassroots supporters. I think it was Thompson who said sarcastically he would give his left nut for the RP's supporters.

You can check all my previous posts... this RP CAMPAIGN staff is the worst amonst the current organizations in the Presidential race. Never seen such blunders and missed opportunities from an entire group of Amateurs. The word was out across all the campaigns and MSM about this. RP made his decision to go with "TRUSTED OLD FRIENDS" but he has forgotten this is a very intense business that requires 24/7 attention on many fronts by professionals... not amateurs learning as they go..

there's a ton more... but it will cause too much emotion distress amongst members. All my previous post gave serious hints to clean up the Campaign Act and get the show a rollin... but that fell on deaf ears... oh well.

yup, i defended the campaign to no end at first as well, they have really been horrible though i must admit

Screw you, jackass. I've got a sign in my yard and I've donated over 200 bucks even though I can't afford it, not to mention campaigning for hours on the weekends and handing out about a thousand slim jims. I've earned the right to be pissed at the incompetence of this campaign."

I think we all appreciate the contribution of time and money that you have made Adam. So, let me personally thank you. I am sure that each of us has tried to do our part. I also think that everyone was half-expecting (or more) Paul to grab first (or at least certainly third) right out of the gate. We had the straw polls, we had the money, we had some media coverage finally, we dominated every damn internet poll ever posted!

Now the reasons that we aren't doing as well as we might have hoped are certainly varied. (Diebold, notwithstanding; label me a "theorist" if you will but based on previous experience, I don't have the utmost faith in our elections.).

I say, lets all stop pointing the finger and looking for someone to blame. Its not the campaigns fault, the "stupid" NH voters, or whatever someone may see as the shortcomings of Dr. Paul. It would probably also be a good idea to try to refrain from tearing each other down. Adam was obviously disappointed, he has the right to be. This isn't a two-state ride where you get your money back if the result isn't as you'd hoped, however. (And I'm sure you understand that.)

Ultimately, we must all ask ourselves "what does liberty mean to me? and to what lengths will I go to achieve it?" If we believe in Liberty (and Libertarian thought) then we accept the principle that human action is based upon our ability to make rational decisions concerning the future. The NH state motto is "Live Free or die." Maybe they just don't know what Freedom is.

Do we give up because of this? NO! Those who answer "yes" can jump off the internet RP band(width)wagon whenever they please. I ask them this: are you really awake? Because as I see it, once you are there is no going back to sleep simply because Hope for America as presented by Dr. Paul has a chance to fail. There always has been that chance. Never forget that we, the People, hold the power! We have put Dr. Paul and our message where it is today. Are you willing to fight for good even when you are losing? We can't win every battle. I know that to most of us, "Give me Liberty or give me death," isn't just a quote from a long dead man.

Now let's quit squabbling and keep on fighting. A house divided cannot stand.

In Freedom (of mind, at least),
Ray Habenicht

The campaign could spend a billion dollars and it won't do any good if the message isn't what people want. It is starting to look like the libertarian message is going to get the same treatment that it has gotten in every other election. I will hold out judgement until after super duper Tuesday but it doesn't look good so far.

I disagree. When you sit down and actually show people what Ron Paul is all about they begin to like him.

The casual "viewer" just sees a crazy no-chance longshot. That's what needs to change. You think 20 MILLLION could help that occur!!!!!

This guy here...

http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=83155

...Is saying that the campaign has a secret strategy to win. He says they're purposefully spending as little as possible in order to get an ok turnout in the first couple states, meanwhile all the other candidates are blowing all their money away, but then Ron Paul comes out of nowhere with his $20,000,000+ and blasts all the Super Tuesday states with ads and wins them all.

I guess that's why we got 5th, right?

Secret strategy huh? Is that like double secret probation from Animal House? I'm praying for some sort of miracle, but McCain and Huckabee don't need the cash with all of the free media play they'll get from their wins. And no amount of ads is going to sway a voter who hasn't heard about the candidate from the MSM. So the plan is to get dead last in the next four primaries? And then win big super tuesday? Umkay...
