SUSPENSE!!! It would be exciting to watch a convention where you are on the edge of your seat. Alot more people would be driven to vote GOP and Fox would get good ratings as a result. They might not like the outcome of who won but it would be the best RNC Convention in history and they would have to admit that.

If it looks like it's going to be a brokered convention FOX/CNN/MSNBC will all suddenly have technical difficulties.

gop list of preferred candidates to become PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES

1) MITT RAHMNE
2) RICK SANTORUM
3) NEWT GENGRICH
4) BARACK OBAMA
5) ANYONE ELSE BUT RON PAUL

I TRULEY BELIEVE THEY WOULD RATHER HAVE OBAMA THEN RON PAUL AS POTUS.... SOMEONE PROOVE ME WRONG RIGHT NOW!

They want Obama. That's why they are pushing Romney so hard. they know he can't win.

GOP thinks with Obama they'll take control of the Senate and the talking heads want Obama because it increases ratings and profit.

Mitt Romney would just be forced to either have Rick Santorum or Newt Gingrich on the ticket if he can't make the delegates and even with one of them on the ticket while still needing more delegates to secure the nomination then I'm sure he'll offer them a cabinet position. The GOP Establishment won't allow Ron Paul and our fellow followers to overtake the convention, it would guarantee them a loss and I doubt they would put Ron or Rand Paul on the ticket.

Except Santorum and Gingrich are radioactive in a general election against Obama. Not to mention there's no love lost between Romney/Santorum/Gingrich.

We're talking about Mitt Romney here. I think he would have no problem making Rick Santorum the VP, he was endorsed by him in '08 and tons of rivals have come together after the fact to be on the same ticket. Regan/Bush come to mind immediately as does Kennedy/Johnson. Romney doesn't want a brokered convention and if that means putting one of those two goofs on the ticket, he will. Brokered Convention = Romney not being the nominee, at that point you get that dark-horse candidate or some craziness like that such as a Mitch Daniels volunteering to "save" the party.

Honestly, Mitt Romney would be smart to go after Rand Paul for the ticket as he's a social conservative with a great voting record from Kentucky the neighboring state of Ohio and the youth vote could come out for Mitt Romney since the Ron Paul base would be energized to get a Paul vice-presidency. I wouldn't be surprised if the Romney team at least takes a look at Rand Paul then possibly start vetting him for the position.
