What religion are you?

What religion/denomination are you?

Still @ 62 % , none or other .....
GOPBlacklist said something about the liberty movement being inclusive to Christians only.

He must have looked at the poll because about 10 seconds later the comment was gone.

I'm kind of surprised at the numbers. Even if most members didn't vote and it's missing a couple big ones.

Just voted "none".
I was raised Catholic, I went to Catholic HS. If I stepped inside a church now I'm somewhat concerned I would burst into flames.

None and other seem to be quite popular so far.
I fall into the none category.
Faith and religion are two completely different things IMHO
It's probably not going to be very popular but as I see it, organized religion is a tool of the few to control the many and much like masturbation, religion is best practiced privately..
that second part has been greatly influenced by hubby, who was raised eastern orthodox catholic but has been studying to become a Jehovah's witness.. pushy people some of those JW's...

2nd largest religion not in poll.

thanks.

I'd dispute that placement. Buddhism and Hinduism are much larger than given credit for. Islam's figures are often bloated so bad they don't even make sense (there are only ~900 million people living in Muslim majority nations, so how can there be 1.5 billion Muslims? It has to be closer to 1.1-1.25 billion)

It is still logical to expect it to be there when a poll is asking people's religion.

Whether it is the second largest or third largest really doesn't matter.

It was accidental, I would have put it in if I could edit polls, unfortunately this site does not allow regular members to. Perhaps a moderator could add it?

I am not really suprised. Many yong people ( probably a large percentage of Libertarian leaning etc ) do not really affiliate with a religion per se , and some are just athiest ( whatever that means :) ) , I voted early , but sort of expected it may look like this. One of my friends is a Libertarian and an athiest and we are much older than many of the young people here.

I see this a lot. Roman Catholicism gives a solid foundation for eventual atheism.

BTW, if I must choose a religion, pick one for me at random.

They are all bull shit. Just slightly different kinds of bull shit.

Fuck it, if I have to believe in some silly imaginary friend (er, God), put me down for Church of the FSM (Flying Spaggetti Monster)- the FSM is just as "logical" as any other (bull shit) religion, without all the negatives.

All hail the FSM (er, God)!

Ramen.

I was an atheist, until I was touched by the noodly appendage of the Flying Spaghetti Monster!

All hail the FSM!

For he gave his only begotten son, Jesus Christ, to suffer for our sins.

Or some such bull shit...

Marilyn Monroe did.

I have Marilyn in my
"Tor Hershman's AmaZING Grace" video, thus...

NOTE: I was listed @ The Library Of Congress' "Amazing Grace" page as one of the singers of "Amazing Grace" until I Emailed the LOC and told them to REMOVE myself for they WERE in great error.
Me wee listin' vanished BUT I did not receive a Thank You from LOC for havin' corrected the
mal-listing.

Who is my fellow libertarian Jew? Please don't tell me over 62% of RPF are atheists. We will not be taken seriously if this is the case.
