Who won the Fox News-Google GOP debate last night in Des Moines, Iowa?


While pundits picked out their regular winners and losers, it seemed another kind of victory was quickly beginning to form – much of which had nothing to do with national policy.


Fox News’ resident cyber guy Kurt Knutsson joined Fox and Friends this morning to deliver the latest.

On Twitter, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz dominated the conversation at a quarter of the candidates’ interactions, while Florida Sen. Marco Rubio and Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul pulled in shares of 20 and 16 percent respectively.

But when it came to the volume of good things being said about each candidate – Rand Paul topped the charts, said Knutsson.

And just when we thought we’d seen it all, another Paul-related hashtag started to trend – and it wasn’t #StandwithRand.


Enter #Randgirling, a rallying force uniting Sen. Paul’s likely most ardent supporters.

Rand's social media numbers exceeded Trump's during the debate? That's pretty impressive news if Trump was live on TV at the same time. Add to that 70% positive online numbers and then it seems even more awesome.
