What is your college degree?

I am a senior mathematics major in my final semester, with a minor in computer science.

They say that people in my age group, 18-25 are the most idealistic. Additionally, I have read that 'math people' also tend to be very idealistic--I charge I won't deny.

And RP is pretty clearly the most idealistic candidate of the bunch.

As my slightly-not-right-in-the-head sociology professor quoted from David Wolf, "Idealism is what precedes experience; cynicism is what follows."

So many people out there are so disaffected with politics in general, but the Doc has the medicine.:)

And yeah, from taking an advanced mathematics course in Double Fourier Series, non-homogenous, non-linear eigenvalues/functions, blah, blah, blah, I'd say you math guys are VERY idealistic;) Too many impractical assumptions. Where the hell am I going to find a material which perfectly insulates? An infinitely long string?

The stuff I just mentioned is probably elementary to you, though...

I won the Westinghouse Prize when I was 12, big deal. Published at 19, so what. I got a double doctorate from MIT at 22, Chemistry and Geology. I taught at Princeton for two and a half years. Why do I do this? Because the money's good, the scenery changes and they let me use explosives, ok?
Armageddon? :)

I have a B.A. in Math and am starting to work on getting a masters in Math. People seem to think us math guys are really smart so I never tell them the truth. :D

This, I know...

Currently working on my AA for Journalism. But, I'm not sure.

I LOVE....LOVE history and I also want to pursue classical guitar...I just want
something that I can make enough money doing so that I can focus on studying
history or and playing classical guitar.

no degree, dropped out after a couple semesters and enlisted in the Navy. I subsequently caught the computer bug and am now a self-taught IT pro, specializing in unix systems administration. You could say that's an engineer of sorts...

No college degree for me; I'm a homemaker/homeschool teacher now, learning along with my kids. :D

*waves to the folks who go/went to Colorado State University--I grew up in Fort Collins! :) *
