There is a big picture here. Whether it is a brokered convention, an independent ticket, or another election in four years.
We need stay focused, organized, and supportive for what we believe. We are taking on every power in this country that has had generations to cement their influence.
First. This isn't over. Yes, the Republicans have treated Ron like a stepchild. But Ron has still had more publicity being in the Republican debates than he would have ever had starting out as an independent. As hard as it is to believe, he would probably have had even LESS media attention.
So let's see how this thing plays out first. The dust hasn't settled.
Sure, we wanted a few more delegates (and we may have a few more by the end of the day) but it looks like the primary goal might have been achieved which is that NO ONE wins the automatic bid outright. I'm glad Huckabee has taken a few states. If Romney takes a large portion of California, it could even out this race a bit more. One thing we'll know for sure, everyone's campaign will likely continue after today. I'm more interested to see how close everyone will be to that magic number.
I'm open for another
money bomb to keep Ron in the game. But more importantly,
we need to get him re-elected to Congress!!! Everyone needs to donate! I'd rather have two money bombs for him on the same day. One for each.
Imagine what that would do when the Media assumes we fall apart and we destroy the records once again. I have NO DOUBT that we are gaining support, it just doesn't seem that it is happening quick enough. But these money bombs continue to leave these political pundits scratching their heads and people are taking a second look. I think that one article by Oodora has converted a ton of people already. Just by myself I've converted at least 100 people in the last 4 days that I've emailed with that link.
Second. I'd like to wait to see what Ron's plans are. I'm more interested in his take on today and how motivated he still is to continue. I would imagine that he is going to still be willing to go forward as long as we are willing to go with him. If we waver in our support, he is much more likely to throw in the towel. He's said it himself that as long as people support him and donate, he will continue.
If he decides to continue, I'll support him and donate even more.
If he decides to run as an independent, I'll support him and donate even more.
If he decides to go back to Congress and work on making a difference in other ways we need to do several things.
- Determine a list of other Congressmen to support and donate to (there is more than one way to take over a country)
- Create a national fund starting now. 50,000 people donating just $20 per month for the next 40 months with a 5% APR compounded, would generate $126 million for Ron or whoever he endorses for the next election. Let's see the media try to silence him then.
- Parlay this support into a larger grass roots effort. We weren't able to get precinct leaders in every precinct in the country, but what could we do in 4 years?
- Begin informing the general public. Bring these issues to the people nationally even if we have to talk to millions of people individually over the next 4 years. 50,000 people talking to just 2 different people per day for 1200 days would reach 120 million people (and maybe more as some of those people would then talk to others). We are talking about a third of the country. We aren't going to convert everybody and that's ok. But I think most of us feel that there is a lot more support for this movement out there, if people were informed and even knew that Ron Paul existed and what he stood for. There are still tons of people who say "Ron Paul who?" or if they have heard of him, there is no way they could tell you what he stands for. We need to circumvent the media. That is hard to do in a couple months but in 4 years, it is VERY possible. Plus, as our economy gets even worse and inflation continues to skyrocket, I think people are going to be really interested in WHY this has happened. Most don't know how the FED works or how our overspending has destroyed our economy.
I'm just laying out possibilities here. We have options. But more than anything, I'm not going to have a kneejerk reaction and I'm just going to see how this plays out. If someone organizes another Money Bomb. I'm in.
