What if we offered Obama our votes, in exchange for him choosing Ron Paul as Secretary of the Treasury?

I wonder if that would be a wise gamble?

I would agree if Obama would be willing to swear to abolish the Federal Reserve and bring the troops home from around the world. Fat chance of that happening.

He would be smart to try to reach across to us, though.

Obama wouldn't do it because Ron Paul is his elder, and Ron Paul knows how to beat people with a smart stick.

He'd be crying like a baby.

It would definitely be a worthy gamble, but getting everyone to vote for Obama would be tough.

And it would look particularly hypocritical in the wake of his third party message.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained. The Republicans don't want to talk to us. Might as well see where deals could be made. Plus a move like that would give Obama the swing he needs.

Ron Paul would never accept AND

Would you trust Obama if he said he would do this in exchange for our votes. I for one, would never trust him . . .

Right...

How would Obama know we kept our part of the deal? Then, suggesting that he can't be sure we did(whether we did or not), he'd put someone else in that seat.

He'd be wise to accept, but we'd be dumb to comply.

And what if getting out of bed meant you'd get hit by a car later that day. Life is full of risks.

This is just a really bad idea for reasons mentioned before and more. I think we can all be pragmatic if we wanted to, but voting for a socialist in hopes of putting a free market economist in the 2nd most powerful position relating to the US Economy is... well... retarded.

That is absolutely not at all the same thing.

I've got an offer for you.
I'll donate $100 to the charity of your choice on November 4th and never show you any paperwork if you promise to send me $80 to my home address.

The Repubs and Dems are controlled by the same people, and there is not a chance in hell they'd allow someone like RP to be offered a cabinet position. Ron Paul is the mortal enemy of the people who pull McCain's & Obama's puppet strings. It's silly to even think this is possible.

I doubt if Obama will make so much as a single decision on his own. His platform and policies will not involve any original thought or leadership of his own. He will just be a mouthpiece like Bush has ben the past 8 years.

In other words, Obama does not get to pick his cabinet. Other more powerful people will do that.

Unless for some reason he gets a wild patriotic streak and is able to throw off the inner circle around him. I think JFK was starting to do that after the Bay of Pigs. He was fed up with the NWO bullshit.
