What If Someone Could See Everything You’ve Ever Googled?

Oh, yeah, and for those not in the Know, Google just changed its Privacy Policy.

http://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/

Basically, it says that ALL Google Services are going to be tied together to uniquely identify you across all their services. That means Google Analytics now gets its data from YouTube, GMail, and Google Search. Thus, KittenWar.com also links back to HotOrNot.com and YouTube, all in ONE DATABASE. At least they are being up front about saying Privacy Policy just means YOU HAVE LESS PRIVACY.

You still have SOME Privacy, dont ever let anyone tell you otherwise.

jeez

Man that really sucks. They know all about you, from your favorite porn fetish to your drug of choice. rutttttroh.

It is not what that they know, it is what they intend to do with it. And just like you said, drug of choice. Oh, you googled "Hemp Paper", you must be a Terrorist! Well, obviously that would count as a "Drug User", thus, probable cause (like they need it) for a Warrant for your Arrest. Bye bye, off to jail you go! By not protecting your privacy, you are relying on someone else to make a determination of whether or not they will be abusive with the information they have about you. It opens the door to allow pretty much anyone to potentially use information against you.

I know you are new, but you might want to take your own personal privacy a little more seriously. Oh dont ask me about it because I wont shut up. But do you know who I think you should ask? Hollocaust Jews. Do you know what they would have to say? Nothing! Because they are fucking DEAD. Like Rigor Mortis Have a Funeral in an Unmarked Grave Dead. Dead because their Govt at the time decided they did not have a Right to believe in what ever Religion they wanted. When the time comes, who do you think they are going to go after next, the Jews? Prolly not. Pot Smokers? Maybe, but that is icing on the cake. Try RON PAUL SUPPORTERS.

Your Address Book is Mine- Many iPhone Apps Take Your Data
http://venturebeat.com/2012/02/14/iphone-address-book/

I just posted that big long thing on Privacy, but unfortunately, it doesnt do jack shit for Cell Phones. Cell Phones are the Antithes of Privacy. If you use a Cell, you may as well just have a GPS RFID Chip implanted in your body, since I know so many of you wont so much as take a shit without your phones, so you can text msg while turd trolling on the toilet.

And your cell phone does not even need to be on or activated for them to know your location down to 10 feet (or less). And in some, if not all, cases they can still listen to anything you are saying, or any other noise within the vicinity of your phone.

I've been looking at this recently. http://www.gibiru.com/ This is from their homepage.

Search: Google nor the NSA have commented publicly on their agreement. Absent any openness, there is no way for Google customers to know what information the company is giving the NSA and no way for U.S. citizens to know what the NSA is doing for Google in return. Gibiru is part of the Search Engine Privacy Project founded by Underground Internet Privacy Activists.

No One Company should have direct access to so much personal behavioral information. Gibiru will also do its best to provide you with actual unbiased anonymous search results. When you use Gibiru you are taking a stand against Corporate Search Engines and Government Censorship. Every search you perform on Gibruu takes 51% of corporate advertising revenue away from Google for that search.

News: Gibiru News is and will remain Uncensored and makes a serious effort in its algorithm to show Alternative News Search Results over Main Stream Media. Since Google has recently blocked many Alternative News sites from its News results under the Auspice of Content Farms, Gibiru is Happy to fill the gap in providing you with the most up to date uncensored news, that you need to know.

All this, and when my brand new ipod touch (with gps) was stolen out of my car, there happens to be no way to track it....shit....

The GPS isnt there as a feature to help them catch thieves, its a feature to help them catch YOU doing anything that brings up a Terrorist Flag.

To put it more briefly, when / if people in this country revolt against the Govt, the GPS "Feature" will be used to control Society as a Whole, not Individuals. Controlling individuals is just too much effort, and pot smokers are preferred in jail because they are no where nearly as violent as, well, violent people.

Edit:

Just found this posted elsewhere, thought the comment was very good.

The reason no one in America gives a shit about privacy is because we haven't experienced the fallout from having large, centralized databases used against the citizenry. Meanwhile, Europeans tend to give a much bigger shit because they had the Nazis who did just that and they know exactly the sort of horrors that data mining can lead to.

Until America has a data-driven genocide, no one will care. And once it's time to start caring, it won't matter much, because shit bags like you will have willingly waived our collective human rights because you're too damn apathetic to think a couple of steps down the line, or to read even recent history. A large number of people have fought and died for the privileges you'd willingly give up for no good reason.

Disgusting.

I fully endorse this post.

Google Tracked iPhones, Bypassing Apple Browser Privacy Settings

Google Inc. and other advertising companies have been bypassing the privacy settings of millions of people using Apple Inc.'s Web browser on their iPhones and computers—tracking the Web-browsing habits of people who intended for that kind of monitoring to be blocked.

...

Just tried and I guess you have to set it up before you lose it... I even called apple to see, and they said they don't track stolen or lost devices........ any other suggestions?

I am going to talk to my lawyer about getting having apple served up a subpoena... its worth a shot.... I have serial numbers and receipts. I have a police report from the day my car was broken into... might be worth the cost. Just to catch the thieving bastards who robbed me and most of my neighbors.

"What If Someone Could See Everything You’ve Ever Googled?"

Relieved a little perhaps.

Sounds to me like Interfering with an Investigation, by both the Cops, and Apple. Cops being too uninterested in doing anything where they actually have to do WORK, and Apple for refusing to help in order to force you to buy a new one, which lso makes money.

@surf, you'll have to keep us updated on what exactly happens with the Lawyer...
