What if Ron Paul invited the other candidates . . .

I think it would only be a good idea if the message of the rally was the restoration of our constitution and there was a debate or something. Then they could be invited but would probably be tied up that day and unable to make it for obvious reasons.

I really wouldn't want my time wasted listening to these other idiots spewing crap they don't mean. Of course the second they did that they would be booed by a hundred thousand people...

If you make it a Freedom March, you could likely get a large number of anti war people and card carrying ACLU members there.

If by "other candidates" you mean Dennis Kucinich then hell no, the man is a socialist who wants to take the money I earn and give it away to other people that he chooses. That's about as anti-RP as you can get.

I don't care how great of a guy he is. He'd be a nice guy to know, sure, but his politics and ours don't mix.

Hey yea... this is a fantastic idea... good thing yo... I mean I came up with it like a week ago ;)

Seriously, I did... try the search function sometime.

It s a bad idea. This is about our leader and getting him recognition. It is about us. The R3volution and the true Remnant of the Republic showing our numbers. If they are R3volutionaries then fine.. But they are not.

The agendas of some in this subforum are exceedingly suspect. They are doing their level best to ensure continued marginalisation of the Good Doctor and the message he carries and wish to dilute it with other flavours and issues not cogent to the particular strategic momentum this is built for.

I'm a bit confused why it would be 'bad idea' to have other candidates attend.

Did anyone even knows that if it wasn't for Reagan's "I'm Paying for My Microphone, Mr. Green [sic]!" moment, Reagan wouldn't be president?

That was when he funded his own debate and invited other candidates. Maybe we don't want to give them a speech time, and that's sensible, but to at least invite them and perhaps debate with Paul, would only show that Paul can easily chew and spit them out as if they were babe food. (hmm yuck. ;))

Don't know whether it is a good idea, but there is a solid point behind it: to show that this candidate is not afraid of a debate, and the others are. (Insert lots of examples where genuine debate was hindered.)

If you invite, say, Obama - this will instantly become an Obama March on the mainstream media.

If we had 10 MILLION people show up, they'd say it was because of Obama.

Please do not invite other candidates still in the running.

Based on your posts in various threads here, I am very glad you're not organizing this event.
