What if at the height of the power of the liberty movement we instead ended up with a narcissist with no clear principals?
He certainly has fully undeveloped principals in many areas.
That said. I can’t help appreciating how his presence in the White House exposed the system including the press and social media.
I prefer decentralization, and we are in the middle of a giant push towards globalization. Trump may have been a nationalist and a narcissist but nationalism is moving away from globalism which at least was in the general right direction.
As far as trade goes he had some terrible authoritarian policies.
I liked how he left the Paris climate treaty.
He seemed ok with America maintaining its empire status but had a vision of doing so though nationalism and productivity instead of war and brutality. He was contradictory in that he seemed to want to avoid wars while professing his love for the military and police.
He was far less authoritarian than his replacements.
Despite all the reeee he is not a racist in my opinion and by my estimation he earned respect from many voiceless people of many races by standing up to and disrupting the political machine..
Ultimately he was a statist but I feel he has the capacity to learn the true meaning of liberty far more than his peers at his level of popularity and reach (I believe that technically he is currently the most famous person in the world in terms of name recognition).
I enjoyed his torture of the wokes.
