that is precisely that face I made when I saw that burger.

I'm gonna have to remember to take pictures of my 15 minute one-pounder, sharp cheddar, bacon and chorizo, inside-out burgers. Gonna half to do that.

My biggest regret in life as a Southerner is that I've never had the opportunity to enjoy a White Castle slider or an In 'N' Out Burger. However, we do have a great burger chain here in NC called Cookout. The burgers and onion rings are heavenly, plus they have about 40 different milkshake varieties.

Cookout is one of the only "fast food" places I have ever eaten and actually enjoyed the food.

They don't suck, that is sure. I was really impressed the few times I have eaten there. Their menu is staggering. Having worked at burger joints in my youth I would really like to see what is going on in that tiny drive through hut.

Five Guys voted favorite burger chain, McDonald's near bottom

Five Guys Burgers and Fries topped a new survey of favorite burger chains, leaving bigger chains such as McDonald’s and Burger King in the dust.

Market Force Information questioned 7,600 consumers, calculated the fan favorite based on total votes and then factored in the number of locations for each chain.

In every region, Five Guys led the list. Overall, In-N-Out was second, followed by Fuddruckers, A&W and Smashburger.

Dairy Queen ranked last in the group of 16 chains considered. Burger King, Hardee’s, McDonald’s and Jack in the Box rounded out the bottom five.

Five Guys ranked best in categories including food quality and taste, service, cleanliness and atmosphere. The only category in which it failed to rank No. 1 was best overall value; In-N-Out won that category.

Smashburger, a newcomer in the so-called better burger industry, ranked second in every category except overall value.

McDonald’s and Hardee’s shared the bottom rankings for overall value. Jack in the Box was last in the food quality and cleanliness categories. Hardee’s was deemed to have the worst service, while Dairy Queen’s atmosphere was voted as the most lacking.

“Five Guys does zero advertising, but by delivering consistently great customer experience, they’re able to build a word-of-mouth buzz that continues to bring new customers through the door,” said Market Force Chief Marketing Officer Janet Eden-Harris in a statement.

In another customer survey this summer, McDonald’s came in last for customer satisfaction. The American Consumer Satisfaction Index found pizza chain Papa John’s the most fulfilling, followed by Subway and Little Caesars.

Burger King and KFC also left patrons wanting more, according to the survey.

The Heart Attack Grill is an American hamburger restaurant in Las Vegas, Nevada (formerly located in Chandler, Arizona). It has courted controversy by serving high-calorie menu items with deliberately provocative names coupled with waitresses in sexually provocative clothing.

The establishment is a hospital theme restaurant: waitresses ("nurses") take orders ("prescriptions") from the customers ("patients"). A tag is wrapped on the patient's wrist showing which foods they order and a "doctor" examines the "patients" with a stethoscope. The menu includes "Single", "Double", "Triple", and "Quadruple Bypass" hamburgers,[1] ranging from 8 to 32 ounces (230 to 910 g) of beef (up to about 8,000 calories), all-you-can-eat "Flatliner Fries" (cooked in pure lard), beer and tequila, and soft drinks such as Jolt and Mexican-bottled Coca-Cola made with real sugar.[2] Customers over 350 lb (160 kg) in weight eat for free if they weigh in with a doctor or nurse before each burger. Beverages and to-go orders are excluded and sharing food is also not allowed for the free food deal.[3]

The Quadruple Bypass Burger with 9,982 calories (41.76 MJ) has been identified as one of the "world's worst junk foods".[18] It consists of four half-pound beef patties, twenty strips of bacon, eight slices of American cheese, a whole tomato and half an onion served in a bun coated with lard.[19][20]
