How far gone we really are as a Nation, and how little separates the USA from outright rejection of the Constitution and operating solely based on rule of force instead of rule of law.

And Yongrel, I can't wear contacts anymore, my eyes have become too sensitive.

I have to make do with my deliberately dorky glasses :)

general health care system /it's been taken for granted here and it works worse&worse/

The media is a huge brainwashing mechanism

I personally learned a tone but will only name a few things for now.

#1 The media is a huge brainwashing mechanism, they will only tell you what they want you to know.

I would love for someone to tell me what percentage of the media is owned by the same people. Also, is this group related to the group that owns the Federal Bank.

Has anyone picked up on the Wesley Snipes story. For two days straight the media talked about his impending court trial and it was talked about extensively on all the news channels. Fox had expert panels who actually had the audacity to say that 100% of the time in a case like this there is a guilty verdict and for tax fraud Wesley Snipes is facing at least a 16 year prison term.
Then two or three weeks later, Wesley Snipes was acquitted of the more serious charge (Tax Fraud) and is still in court for the misdemeanor count of falling to file.

Now, don't you think this is huge news, wouldn't you think that should get equal air time if not more. But no, none of the channels thought his acquittal was news worthy.
Only one of them made a thirty second mention putting it like this:
Wesley sniped was found guilty on three misdemeanor counts of not filing his tax reports. He could be facing 3 years imprisonment. Blah, Blah, Blah....................
At the very end they made a very quick announcement that he was acquitted of the more serious count of tax fraud. It was so brief that if you blinked you would have missed the part about the acquittal because you were to focused in on the part were he is facing 3 years. Those assholes will only tell you what they want you to know.

I was already aware of the 9/11 thing, and the fact that the war on drugs was a complete fraud, but I had no idea how deep it really went.

My eyes were already open.

The only thing I learned from the Revolution is that all hope is not lost, and there are still fellow patriots worth dying for.

At least 1/4 of the Revolution doesn't have a firm grasp on reality.

At least 3/4 of the General Population doesn't have a firm grasp on reality.

Ron Paul pretty much had most of my views on these things in general. I think the best thing is he's gotten people talking about monetary policy, and has made it generally acceptable for a Republican to oppose foreign intervenionism (though this should have also been obvious).

It really is insane to keep an uninformed democracy.

RP taught me why "managed" Free Trade is not Free Trade at all.

RP taught me why it is so important to have currency backed by something (Gold? Silver? etc.)

RP taught me the importance of letting the people keep their guns.

RP taught me why the Constitution was the most brilliant piece of paper ever written.

RP taught me what the word liberty really meant.

Individuals on this board have been a boat load of education in areas I was least versed on also. I may not of joined in on the discussions but I learned more about economics than I ever wanted to!

Sometimes it takes more than one red pill for some people....

That's ok, we are all learning new things and seeing a new type of corruption almost everyday...

well, i havent seen the concept of collectivism versus individualism... i was at a rally in Killeen Tx, and he brought it up... Basically collectivism is bad, individualism is good... thats all the depth i feel like getting into, but there is an excellent youtube series on the subject (sry no link)...

I think Ron Paul showed the Libertarian Party that the Constitution and a non-intervenionist foreign policy is a whole lot more powerful in consolidating liberty minded forces than drug legalization.

here is a good video to start with:

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6015291679758430958

the collectivist: if its worth doing, its worth forcing someone to do it

the individualist: if its worth doing, an educated person will choose to do it.

collectivist believe in sacrificing the individual for the "greater good".
forms of collectivism:
communism
socialism
fasicm
etc.

Our current government is ruled by collectivist. two competing groups of collectivist. that is why Ron is the odd man out in either party... he is the only individualist running.

I was pretty familiar with most of this stuff, but ron paul has still educated me in many ways.

if u really want to get deep into it, check out godlikeproductions.com
