What happened to the $$$ ticker on the RP08 site?

Well, logical or not, there is a site maintenance post on this blog:
http://blog.ronpaul2008.com/ron_paul_2008/2007/12/site-undergoing.html

I found it by looking through the ronpaul2008.com/iphone pages.

It says, "Tonight, we are undergoing maintenance and configuration of our website. Our fundraising graphic will be offline until we finish the process.

"We appreciate your patience during this necessary maintenance."

I apologize for my hasty post earlier. I should have observed Heinlein's law.

And, of course, that is reflected in graphs like this one:

Perhaps a version of the data from and older copy of the site was retained. Whoever is doing site maintenance presumably thought that taking down the ticker from Ron's site was "good enough" without realizing that the data was being fed live to many other sites.

Anyway, the good news is, it does not seem to be malice. Just one of the many things that make computer science complex. (Rocket science, in my experience, is easy. You want complicated, with lots of opportunities to really mess things up, computer science is your choice!)

my guess is they keep the number secret until the quarter ends so someone like Romney can't just cut himself an $18 million check and trump Paul's number

but it's not back up on the official campaign site yet...

I know when I spoke to someone at the campaign tonight around 7pm est, I was told that after a couple of minutes of inquiry by the campaign worker that she didn't have an answer, but the campaign was more than well aware of the situation as they were getting hammered with calls about it...

She suggested that I call back tomorrow about the same time...
