What does this mean? Huckabee Forum excluding RP? [MOD: Ron declined invite]

The first South Carolina Republican Presidential Primary Debate will be aired tonight, January 14, 2012 at 8 p.m. E.S.T. on Fox News. This will be a taped broadcast with only five of the six candidates participating (minus Ron Paul).

When/where did this "debate" take place, and why wasn't Ron Paul in it?

What do you mean by "the last" Huck forum? I saw one with Huck moderating and RP was in it. That's the only one I knew about. It was in Iowa I think.

It would seem Ron Paul has declined to explain why he declined to participate.

If RP would have attended, Schmuckabee's questions (accusations) would be:

Racist newsletters

Electability of a candidate that wants to legalize heroin and prostitution

Anti-semitism for not paying for Israel's affairs

Third party run


It was a good decision not to attend this ass and pony show. Few votes to be gained there.

I think acptulsa is right about them not really giving a reason. All I've heard is speculation.

I've never heard a clear answer on this either. I don't think Ron has come out and explained it. I don't think anyone knows if he declined or wasn't invited. I do know that he went back to Texas. I think he's meeting with his constituents and stuff. Probably pouring through the Fed transcripts.

Well it's not exactly a matter of life or death but in writing about it I would like to be able to use more specific info than "I heard there was a debate somewhere sometime recently and RP didn't participate.... It will be on TV somewhere sometime...."
