What Do you Drive?

I though they had v-6's in the S-10's.

They may have in other years, not this year. Or at least not this model. Plus, a V6 likely would not have gone 370k miles without a hitch. The Chevy S-10 straight 6 (as far as I know) is renowned for reliability.

370k is something worth bragging about for sure, but are you sure it's not a full sized C-10?

I wring maximum value from my cars. Have only bought two new ones in my life ... put 253K on the first one in ten years. Have 206K on the current one after twelve years.

Sometimes it feels like being in college, driving an old beater. But the property taxes sure are cheap. Around $70 a year.

Meh, web claims no inline 6 existed for this model. I've done extensive maintenance on the Acura, can dig into extensive details on that one, but I've never done any maintenance on the S-10 except for topping off the radiator once. Roommate the last 6 years is an auto-tech so I've left everything to the expert. Haven't even cracked the hood on the S-10 myself in 7 years, and before that it was my mothers, who constantly claimed it was an inline 6. The Acura I've done everything but the engine swap, and I helped my roommate do that one.

I had one for a few years, it had the 2.8 V-6. They also made a 4.3 I believe, I bet that if you pop the hood it's either a 2.8 or a 4 banger.

:p

Gonna add this somehow to the doors and such."

A 2002 Chevy Blazer - 5 spd stick - no power windows. 55000 miles so it will be a while before I get a new one. Before this I had a highly modified sports car that was a money pit...hence the scale down.

How is a chevy (any thing) not a money pit? lol

Ride.* And buses are a pain in my ass.. literally and unfortunately. Recently got a good job so hopefully

... In all actuality this is probably more like it

Point A to point B without having to go through point C, D, and E would definitely be an improvement.
