What do you all have against Giuliani?

Anybody with a 'Freedom through Authority' talking point is frankly too Orwellian for me. Oh ya, and then there was this:

"At the center of negotiations for multiple legs of the Superhighway Corridor throughout Texas, is none other than Rudolph Giuliani's law firm which landed the Comprehensive Development Agreement for a widening of Interstate-35, now referred to as the TTC-35, in addition to the Master Development Plans for State Highways 121 and 130 among other legs of the TTC. All negotiations for Cintra were and are presently handled by the law firm, Bracewell & Giuliani, LLP, of which Republican Presidential candidate, Rudolph Giuliani, has been a senior executive partner since March 2005. His law firm is the exclusive legal counsel for Cintra. Bracewell & Giuliani is comprised of 400 attorneys, based in Houston, TX with offices in New York City, Washington, D.C., London and Kazakhstan."

Giuliani does not support civil liberties he is a big government liberal who likes to cut a few taxes here and there and be hawkish thinking that will make him a conservative Republican. As was said early he is a RINO and he is also a Neo-con. Bush actually sounded good before he was elected, Giuliani sounds bad when hes running, he would be worse than Bush. To the poster, how the hell does being a Mayor of a city and taking credit for more than you deserve credit for make you qualified to become President? Since you are "rooting for Giuliani for second in Florida" and Ron for first, you obviously think this is some kind of a literal horse race and do not understand what is at stake here: cough cough America.

Giuliani wants to issue a big tax cut...and he's got a really simple tax form...what do you all have against him? Who cares if he has had several wives, doesn't get along with his family, is using 9/11 to his advantage, etc. if he will save you thousands of dollars and a lot of tax stress next April 15?

I personally don't care HOW much money he promises to save me. Believe it or not, some things are a lot more important than my bank balance. Sheesh, it's not like we're a bunch of nanny state socialist Democrats or sumpthin.

Some things just aren't for sale - like hearts, minds, souls, national decency, and VOTES just to name a few.

The thought of thousands more innocent, slain Iraqi women and children in exchange for a few hundred more dollars in my checking account is REPULSIVE. They can keep their filthy blood lucre.

He put more cops on the street when he was New York city mayor...cut the crime rate in New York in half...more cops of the street makes more sense for national security than more troops in Iraq.

And why do you want to pay more taxes just because he has a foreign policy that scares you?
I'm voting for Ron Paul. How does that suggest that I prefer troops in Iraq over cops on the street? (I'd prefer as little as possible of both of those.) And how does voting for Ron Paul suggest that I want to pay more taxes in order to avoid a horrible foreign policy? (I'd, again, rather prefer both paying lower taxes and avoiding a horrible foreign policy.) What type of argument are you possibly trying to make?

Giuliani does not support civil liberties, he has no class, laughs at Ron Paul etc. He is a big government liberal who likes to cut a few taxes here and there and be hawkish thinking that will make him a conservative Republican. His views on national security and foreign policy scare the crap out of me. End of story.

That is more then enough right there.

From what I hear about how he handled 9/11 before during and after, I think he is also an imcompetent leader, has zero foresighting skills, and is an opporuntists.

I don't qualify to get any favors with his tax cuts.

He is a Liar. Even today on the news he was saying that he is the only republican candidate with the best record on cutting taxes and spending. Did he forget he is running against the infamous Dr, NO.?

I could care less how many times that he has been married and I am also pro choice.

I do care A LOT that this scum bag, is helping out a known and convicted , repeat child molesting ex Priest, also a friend of his, by giving him work. If Rudy was any where near cutting the mustard in my book, he would've only helped this man find his way behind bars or introduced him a baseball bat.

I can't stand him.

Giuliani is quite literally a fascist. He is an authoritarian who wants to centralize power under the executive, so he can manage a merger of government and big business. He uses fear and scapegoating to scare people into giving up their freedom.

Giuliani would be one of the worst things to ever happen to this country. Probably worse than Hillary Clinton, believe it or not...

More cops on the street + big tax cut sounds like a good deal to me. There's too much crime here where I live.

It sounds like Miami has a crime problem, NOT all of America. You should try to get Rudy to move to Miami and run for mayor there.

Even if more cops on the street is always a good thing, why would I like Giuliani when considering the presidency? Do you also want more FBI and more NSA running around the nation, spying on people, arresting people?

Even with high crime, it seems to me that we should be focusing on the sources of the problem, not the symptoms. In almost all cases, more cops only treats the symptom, nothing more. Sometimes that's all that is needed, but if you really have a crime problem, then I severely doubt that this is one of those times.

He is Pro Physican Assisted Murder of Children... ah, that sort of disqualifies him for any political office, as far as I am concerned anyway. Otherwise I am sure he is a nice guy.

He's almost anti- Second Amendment.

Great - Now there's a lovely scenario....American cities crawling with cops and citizens with no way to protect themselves.

All Republican candidates except Ron Paul want to stay in Iraq...so you'd have to vote for a Democrat to protect the Iraqi people if Ron Paul doesn't get the Republican nomination.

If you're fishing for ways to help Rudy improve his image, convince him to cuddle with a ferret.

Okay Im still new here, but why the hell is a Giuliani supporter in a Ron Paul Grassoots Forum?

I'm not voting for Ron Paul because I want to "protect the Iraqi people". I'm voting for Ron Paul because I want to protect the American people, our way of life, and our God-given rights.

And that's exactly why I'm not voting for Giuliani.

I am a traditional, conservative Republican, like Ron Paul. That means I put the needs of America first and understand that it's not our job to be the policeman of the world.
