romney said "i think dr pauls been reading too many of ahmadinijads press releases"
and paul just grinned and said something then nodded to the audience boos

"Make Fun Buddy"

He said "Make Fun Buddy."

He was pissed.

Paul did misunderstand the question. He thought Brit was asking an American policy question, and he was just asking how the commanders should have reacted to a local event.

I believe that he says "Make it funny, buddy". Someone posted that under the youtube video and if you watch it with that in mind it does sound much clearer IMO

Yeh but I think he was also considering the comments of Huckabee and Thompson.

It was Paul's weakest moment in the debate, and he was a bit flustered.

The correct simple answer is to trust the commander's/captain's judgement.

I think Paul of course assumed that was a given. He was trying to apply a broader Policy question.

To put this in perspective, Ron Paul has been peppered with the newsletter allegations over the last 48 hours and is on constant defense. I think it upsets him and he is ready to rip someone's head off.

Romney was an ass and looking for a chance to demagogue.

He didn't misunderstand the question. Fox's question proposed that the naval captains ERRORED by NOT attacking. IF anything Ron Paul should have attacked Hume for suggesting such, instead of the other candidates.

That sounds about right!

I think if they would've let him respond he would've said "It may behoove us all to read those press releases!!!" :D

Yes, but it did seem that perhaps Ron Paul could not hear the questions properly. I don't know if they wear ear pieces up there, but he was having problems hearing. Anyone know this?

I'm pretty sure he said, "make your fun, buddy". Any doubt as to whether Paul doesn't have a carefully planned strategy now? Compare Paul's performance in this debate versus the first debate.

He didn't misunderstand the question. I can't understand how everyone is acting like he did.

All the candidates who responded prior to him played the whole thing as if Iran really wanted to attack us.

Ron Paul's response was basically that the whole thing could be just another Gulf of Tonkin. How could anyone hear his response and not think that he agreed with what the captains did?

That's happened in several debates, and I thought he just couldn't hear well.

Now I'm starting to think his ear pieces have intentional problems. If it were a hearing issue, they'd just turn it up, and problems fixed. I'd imagine all candidates have sound checks and say it's working fine. Strangely, it's always Paul that has problems. Nobody else.

Ron Paul did not mess up that question. Fox article proves that he was correctly addressing all the others craving a war over a couple of paddle boats. It is so pathetic the way those others did that to Ron Paul. I want them to pay for that. The man is a good man of integrity and morals and to try to tear someone down like that only shows their obvious ugliness and weaknesses.

your probably right.

Where have all your brains gone?

Every candidate who responded save Huckabee, implied that the thing that happened meant that Iran was a threat.

So they can go off on a "tangent" but when he does it is crazy?

He was responding to what they said. They all implied that this proves that Iran is a threat. Ron Paul said it does not. Of course he agreed with how the Captains responded.

And he threw in some important information: everyone needs to know why the Captains were correct. It was a stupid question to even imply that the Captains should have shot at the Iranians, as Fox did imply.
