What could happen if Ron Paul doesn't win -- why it's so important that he does

a very different time and situation

Good thing our founding fathers didn't cut and run when faced with tyranny.
Virtually every person who pulled up stakes and moved to the "new world" 250~500 years ago was physically productive and in fairly close contact with reality. Today, most americans are not physically productive, and so intellectually confused and corrupted that no term seems adequate to describe. I have thought about this problem many times over the years, and have come to understand how "frontiers" are so much more compatible with liberty and individualism - especially with no "shining light" example in the world to offer obvious incentive and guidance. No, the next serious location for liberty and individualism is outer space. Until we can inhabit the asteroid belt, lovers of liberty will probably have very slim pickens and very imperfect choices.

Someone said on youtube there would be a riot because Ron Paul really made alot of people furious with the government.

Is there a country that we could pretty much take over? one with little or no government, population, that we and our changes would be welcome in?

Did you ever see that Ralph Nader talk where he mentions that some congressmen were afraid to go ahead with impeachment hearings against Bush and Cheney because they had been signalled that if they did, Bush would attack Iran, declare marial law and suspend elections. Impossible? In a rational society, perhaps.

I know I'm way late to the party on this, but here's what AceNZ is talking about for those who haven't seen it already:

Ron Paul over 20% in polls consistently could result in the administration finding some reason for martial law. That's when it would get interesting.
