What can WE do about the newsletter racism allegation. It's obvious, an MLK moneybomb

use the fact that something with such little credibility is the only thing they have against him - say "First they attacked his monetary policy in 2008, then they found out he had been right all along. Then they attacked his foreign policy and the more people talked about it the more people sided with Paul. So now that they're out of tricks they have resorted to the age old trick of just calling him a racist ... it didn't work on Rand, it didn't work on the Tea Party and it won't work with Ron."

I think we shouldn't do a race themed money bomb it just perpetuates the stories and looks like pandering.
It's not race themed. It's celebrating a man we have things in common with (individual rights, anti-war, civil disobedience) on a day set aside for celebrating him, as well as showing solidarity for those causes. If people want to accuse us of pandering now, then we just point back to 2008. Were we pandering to the Tea Party leaders by doing a TP '11 Money Bomb this year?

That is not how the MSM will spin it...

+1

We need to deploy our ordinance in a our underwear, before our first cup of coffee on MLK day! Ron's got tiger's blood coursing through his veins...Winning!

Already disagreed with this idea in another thread today.

The media will spin it to "Ron Paul is holding an MLK Day Moneybomb to gain favorability with minorities in light of his racist newsletter controversy."

I'll donate to the moneybomb, regardless.

I think the campaign should decide when the money bombs are. Plus, we did an MLK money bomb four years ago, yet there are still racist allegations going on.

Agreed.

Personally I think an MLK money bomb is a bad idea. It will look like pandering. Ron Paul's policies speak for themselves so I think we need to spread those.

Let the money bombs die. Ron Paul's campaign will ask for money, and we'll have it to give if we're not trying to generate publicity with money bombs. Those don't work any more.
