What can teens like me do to help RP?

I've made about 3000 phone calls, but canvassing isn't really working out for me since my parents aren't too thrilled about me going door to door. Any suggestions? I'm in Michigan - primary's in 13 days!

Also, I'm homeschooled, so I can't start a club or anything like that at a public school.

First off, +rep to you and everything you are doing. Awesome to hear someone your age doing all of that.

Second, what you can do is keep calling and spreading the message through any social media you can (Facebook, if you have one, etc.), as well as trying to win over family and friends. And if your parents are willing, put some signs up or make some signs and stick around your yard or somewhere you are legally allowed to. Just liberty and Ron Paul themed ones.

It's so awesome that you have an interest in any of this at a young age. Some suggestions:

- Talk to people who are old enough to vote, especially people older than your parents. If you have older relatives or family friends and neighbors, that conversation goes a long way.

- Make signs and put them up around your area.

- Wear your Ron Paul gear as often as you can. Buttons, shirts, hats, etc. It's free advertisement and people do look and comment, I know this from experience. Maybe you can get your parents to take you to play bingo some night while you wear some eye-catching gear.

- Print little business cards with helpful Ron Paul-related URLs on them; carry them around with you and give them to people who might be interested.

- Make pro-Ron Paul videos for YouTube; post them on all social media sites.

- Reddit has a Ron Paul channel with a lot of discussions and info.

Just tell your parents you're going out to play sports or do yard work...how can they stop you from striking up a conversation with your neighbors?

Most adults respect teens/young adults that take current events seriously and know a lot.

You can do a lit drop instead of canvassing, not sure if your parents will see that any differently.

But really, don't sweat it, 3000 calls is probably more than 90% of the forum has done.. keep on keepin on!

Are there any homeschool groups in your area? Those are what helped carry Ron Paul in his district all those years... They are a solid voting block.

I did get in a little discussion last week with a woman who's a big Tea Party member and Santorum supporter I rattled off my list of "what's bad about Santorum" points, and she suddenly became quieter.

Also, continue to educate friends your own age about the liberty movement in this country, as they are the future that we'll need before we know it.

Another thing to do (I know this is probably more passive of an answer than you wanted) but be even better educated on your own state and county party rules so that when you turn 18 you will be ready for a local party position. Also, read Robert's Rules of Order, which has good info even for primary states.

Take stock of your resources and determine how best to apply them. I don't know your particular circumstances however you likely have more soft assets like time and motivation, than you do hard assets like money and transportation. Take a look into the concept of guerrilla marketing and figure out how best to apply it in a hyper local manner.

You can read about things to educate yourself, and you should. Focus on knowing Dr. Paul's issues and positions. If you can determine the history behind them, even better. Use Google News Archive to search for those issues in old local/regional newspapers to give them local flavor and context. Know you local political system, party chairman, processes, etc.

Education only gets you so far. Hands on application of what you know is what build experience. Keep plugging away and keep your thoughts in context. Your path to liberty doesn't end in 13 days, it began when you started hearing its message and only ends when you consciously turn away from it.
