Were you democrat, independent or republican before supporting Ron Paul?

i actually voted libertarian when I turned 18. then i decided that my vote was just being thrown away on 3rd parties and registered as a democrat when i moved to ohio when i was 21. a few years ago i sent in a new registration form to register as an independent, but received a notification that i was still registered as a democrat and haven't tried to make any changes since it doesn't matter in my state. i don't want to be a republican either.

of course! we have open primaries. i realize that RP is a republican and more so than any of the others. if he is not the nominee there will very little for me to support as i don't trust the other candidates.
